Alli's POV~

As much as I hate admitting it, I know that I was in the wrong and caused quite a few of Lilly and Mike's fights. An apology was definitely due. Mike was pacing around the kitchen with his brows furrowed, and I turned to look at Vic, nodding that it was okay for him to leave. He took the hint and kissed my forehead again, then left.
"Mike, please look at me," I tried, he slowly stopped pacing and stared blankly at me. "What," he muttered harshly. I reached for his hands but he jerked them away then leaned on the counter and folded his arms. I sighed, this was gonna be tough. "Look, I just wanted to say, I am really really sorry about everything I've done. My intentions are not to cause you and Lil to fight, I'm just trying to protect her. I don't want her to get hurt again, and when you made a little mistake, I jumped into protection mode because she got upset. I'm sorry Mike," I said, looking into his eyes and trying my hardest to prove sincerity. His stare remained cold, but briefly wavered and he uncrossed his arms. He looked away and let out a large breath.
"Alli, I know you're trying to protect her, but I promise that I am doing my best to make sure she's always happy. I'm in love with her Alli, and she's a big girl. She can take care of herself, and when she can't, she has me to protect her. I'd give my life for her. I have only one request for you though, Ariella," he said. I nodded. "Stay out of it."

Vic's POV~

I listened to the whole conversation on one of the baby monitors that have been placed all around the house. Mike was harsh, but he was right. They had to make their own mistakes and grow together. It was time for Lilly to leave Alli's protective little nest. Alli also had two kids to worry about now, Lilly can take care of herself while Alli and I raise our beautiful babies.
I looked over at Clara laying in her crib, kicking once or twice every few seconds. I smiled and looked a the other crib and watched the rise and fall of my sweet son's chest as he snored softly. Alli shuffled into the nursery, and I could see that she was fighting with her emotions. I snaked my arms around her waist, fighting back a smirk at what I was about to do.
"Hey, she's gotta leave the nest sometimes and Mikey will take good care of her. Meanwhile, the kids should be asleep for a while and Mike," I paused to let her hear the door close, "just left. We have the house all to our own for once,and the quiet is just terrible," I whispered, slightly pressing my lips to her neck. "Oh," she retorted, now realizing what I was planning, "what do you suggest we do about the silence then?" I picked her up bridal-style and practically ran to our bedroom. She giggled the whole way.
I laid her on the bed and leaned in, kissing her passionately like we had before the twins were born. My hair covered both of our faces and she smiled into the kiss. She snaked her arms around my neck and then pulled me down onto the bed. I ran my hands up under her shirt and lifted it off, only briefly breaking our hot kiss. I wasted no time unhooking her bra and began to gently massage her breasts, knowing that she'd practically melt under my touch. She rolled us over so that I was under her, then pulled my shirt off and threw it across the room.
We stopped and smiled at each other for a few short moments. She leaned in again and just before our lips connected, a loud wail filled the house. We both sighed heavily.
"So close," she said. "What do you say we pick up where we left off say, around bedtime?" I replied, winking. She giggled. "It's a date." Then she got up and I helped her get her bra and shirt back on. We both walked into the nursery and took a twin. A parent's job is never done.
