Chapter 4 ~ I Was a Secret

We drove home to Stay Away From My Friends. It was awkward . Very awkward. When we got home, she went and got ready for bed, everyone did. Right before she went inside her room, I said
"Hey, if you need anything, I'm right across the hall," as I smiled.
"Okay, thanks," she said and she went inside her room. She looked at me and smiled one last time before she closed the door. I went inside my room and turned on my phone. I checked Twitter and answered some fan tweets. Before I knew it, it was 11:34. I sighed and went to the bathroom to look for sleeping pills. I was just getting out of bed when I heard a knock. I opened the door. It was Danielle. "Hey," she said sleepily.
"Hey. What's up?" I asked.
"Couldn't sleep,"
"Neither can I," I said opening the door all the way. I walked downstairs and she followed. I sat down on the couch and she plopped down next to me.
"You don't go to school?" she asked me.
"Nope, I finished."
"Oh. This is my last year, thank god. That place is a living hell."
"You don't like college?" I asked. I loved college.
She shook her head. "I don't have any friends except for you and the guys, and you don't even go to my school. I'm just glad it's almost over,"
"You have a job?"
"No, but I want to be a merch seller,"
"You can be ours when we go on tour," I said.
She smiled wide. "Really?"
I nodded my head and smiled.
"Don't you have a side project?"
"Yeah,"
"I think it's so cool! And your voice is just... unexplainable. It makes me wanna cry," she said.
"Oh haha thanks," I said getting up to get some tea. "Want tea?" I asked.
"Sure," she said. I made her tea and turned on the TV. We flipped through the channels until we found SpongeBob. I heard someone coming down the stairs.
"Look at you two," Vic said. "Watching SpongeBob," he laughed.
"Aye, don't judge," I said jokingly. After grabbing a few cookies, Vic went back up to sleep. Danielle and I were too lazy and tired to go back upstairs so we fell asleep. On each other. Yeah, haha have fun falling asleep on your crush, that's what you all think. But she had school the next day. I woke up as soon as I could and I checked what time it was. It was 7:30. I quickly shook Danielle.
"What the hell?" she asked sleepily.
"You have to get ready for school,"
"Shit," she said. She ran upstairs and changed and got ready and did some stuff that I don't know I'm not a girl. She was ready in 15 minutes. I tossed her a granola bar so she could eat before school. She quickly did her makeup in my car and we were at the school's parking lot in ten minutes.
"What time should I pick you up?" I asked.
"Uh, 4:00," she said.
"Okay," I said as I watched her walk across the campus. I sighed.

~Danielle's point of view~
Whoopee, another day of living hell. Jaime was sweet. Maybe somebody does care about me after all.
"Hey, I thought I told you to kill yourself, emo!" some prissy bitch told me. Not even 5 minutes into the day. Great. Yadayadayada, the class before lunch comes around. I text Jaime under the table.

me: could you come pick me up from campus for lunch?
Jaime: yeah totally. what time?
me: 30 min
Jaime: K. c u ther
I smiled. 30 long minutes passed and Jaime picked me up. He started driving as soon as I got in.
"Where are we going?"
"You let me take care of that,"
"Okay," I said flirtatiously. I put on my playlist and If I'm James Dean Then You're Audrey Hepburn played. Some time later, we arrived at this fancy sushi place and had a great time. I was on my way back to college when he asked
"You have a crush?"
My eyes widened.
"N-no," I said my voice cracking. Jaime looked disappointed. "N-not on c-campus," I nervously laughed. No no no! Any chance I had with Jaime is now ruined! Why? Jaime looked at me sincerely. It was an indescribable tension. We arrived at the school and said
"I'll pick you up at 4." He was smiling, like as if he knew I had a crush on him. Wait, what?
