Alia came in the tent, and sat down in a chair we had inside. "You should change out if that." I said to her.
"I don't want to." She said, a little out of this world. "
Did you get high?"
"I did, but I slept it off, my head hurts."
"You should change.. Your shirt is dirty and muddy." She nods and takes off her shirt in one move. "Ali...." I whispered.
She was already sleeping, but her stomach was exposed, showing burn marks, from her lighter, cuts and starches, probably caused by her fingers. Her head was hanging to the side while small snores came from her. My eyes watered and I quickly got out of the tent.
"Princess.. You okay?" Stephan said to me.
"Non... It's just to horrible Steph... Why didn't she tell me?" "Penny, what are you talking about?" I passed my hand over my stomach.
"She has them all over Stephan... She never told me." I hugged his torso and cried into his shirt. He had a blank expression but his arms were wrapping me. "The only time she went that far was when she wanted to......." I couldn't find words to finish the sentence.
"Sssshh.. It's okay, just go cover her body and let her sleep okay?" I nod and we enter the tent, finding Alysha, Laura and Kitty staring at her. Alysha looked up to the tent ceiling and closed her eyes. It wasn't a pretty sight
. "She's going to be okay... I know." Stephan said. I place a blanket on her and kiss her forehead
. "Let her sleep." I said and they all nod. It was sunset and we all sat down outside, cuddling each other, while Bryan was sleeping next to Alia.
"He didn't know huh?"
"I just don't want him to blame himself." I said softly. I look at Mike who was just staring at the cracking fire.
"You guys. Please, this is a vacation, I don't want to spend it in pity." Kitty said. "Let's just pretend we didn't see them and treat her like we didn't know."
"Kitty, we can't simply not un see that." Ivan said.
"Yes we can! We do it with mine, with uncle Vic's, with everybody! I don't know why we have to treat Alia more different."
"Kitty...."
"No dad.. It's the truth."
"I agree with her." Ash said. "She shouldn't be treated different. We know what it's like.."
"I second that notion." Dani said.
"Alright.... That's how it's going to be." Jaime says.
