"I'm sorry." I said to everybody in the room
. "I need to use the restroom."
"Want me to go with you?" Steph said.
"Please, I don't want to get lost." I knew he asked to come with me so I could tell him. We walk up the stairs and Ito the hallway.
"What happen?"
"you're telling me that instead if visiting someone he gave life too, that would do anything so he will never leave, spend a whole month taking her to dates?!"
"Alia..."
"No Stephan. Don't tell me to calm down, because he pushed it too far. He didnt want to visit me! What father does that?" "Alia... I understand your anger, but you haven't been the best on giving clues that you're giving him a chance."
"Steph, I called him DAD again. What more does he want? I told him I'm sorry, and he told me that he was sorry, and your dad said he doesn't want to intrude in my life." I turn around and punch the wall. "AWH SHIT!" I yelp and grab my hand. "Stupid shit." I moved my fingers and sighed in relief. "She was more important than me. That girl, who I have no idea the fuck she is, is trying to steal my dad from me."
"Alia..."
"Who does she think she is?! I just got my dad back and she's gonna get him away from me?"
"Alia..."
"NO! I got him back, I'm not going I let any girl just take him away from me. And he better see that I'm going to fight for him! I don't care if he ends up hating me for hating his girl." "ALIA SHUT UP!" Stephan yells. I look at him confused and his eyes were not staring at me.. But behind me. I slowly turn around. I pick my head up and meet my eyes with his.
"Awh shit." My dad was furious, sad and who knows what other emotion.
"Alia, we have to talk."
"Me and you.. Have nothing to talk." I spat at him.
"Stephan, I'm very tired. Can you take me home?"
"Alia, you're staying here." He said.
"I'm not following instructions from a man like you." I said to him, and turn my back at him. "Please Stephan, I need to fix my friendship with Penny."
"Okay.. Okay. I'll take you." He gives in.
"Let me get my keys." He leaves me and I enter the bedroom before Mike said a word. I sat down in the bed and heard the mumbling from outside.
"Did you find her?" Alysha's voice filled my ears.
"Yeah."
"She okay?" He sighs.
"I don't know."
"Hey. Don't cry." He was crying? Why? 'Superman never cries' "it's going to be tough Mikey, she's a teenager, and not seeing her dad for a long time is..."
"Killing her. I know Alysha. I know. I just... I can never make it up to her."
"But you will. Make her love you little by little. It's like getting a girl to like you. Do everything in power. And I'll be here to help you."
"Where she go?" Stephan came in. "Thanks." He knocks on the door. "Ali? We can go now." I wiped my face and checked myself. All good. I opened the door and passed by the two of them without saying a word. I said goodbye to the ones that do care and followed Steph outside. I closed my eyes as I waited for Stephan to get in the car and let that one strong tear fall down.
"Hey.. Don't cry." He wipes it off.
"I can't okay? All I wanna do is cry myself to death."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because. I can't live with this burden anymore. I'm nothing but a burden to my dad and Alysha. Now poor Alysha is involved to our situation. Why can't I just die?"
"Because you have a fucking purpose in this life. Haven't you ever asked yourself that maybe you did succeeded your suicide attempt, you probably wouldn't be here with me or the girls, you probably would have never seen your dad again. Alia, your alive for a reason."
"I don't know Steph. Now about Penny...."
"She's at your house waiting for you to come home. She's gonna talk to you and ask for forgiveness. Take it. Don't throw it away because I know she's a great friend and if you don't accept this apology, you'll regret it. Okay?"
"How.." "I talked to her yesterday. That's why I agreed on bringing you back home."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
"Steph, I feel like I'm including you to this whole mess."
"Alia, don't worry about it. Your a Fuentes! My little cousin in whom I haven't seen in yyyeeeaaaarrrsss! How could I not include myself? Whatever affects you and your dad, affects the rest of us!"
"I guess."
"Stop being such a bum. Accept the fact that we will help you reconstruct your relationship with your dad. No matter how many blood or tears it takes."

I take a deep breath before I got out of the car. "Thanks." "That's what family is for." I gave him a awkward hug and opened the door. "Make it work."
"Sure will Stephy. See you tomorrow?"
"Fuck yeah." I smile and wave as he drives off. I grab my bag and make my way inside the building.
"Alia, it's nice to see you here again." Chloe, whom hated my guts, said.
"Yeah Chloe. Me too." She smiles and flick me off.
"Did you try to finally end your life?"
"Nah. I went on vacation. It was paradise." Her face sours and she walks away. That's right bitch walk away. I open up the elevator and pressed the button to my floor. Once the door opened I walked all the way to the last door in the hallway. I put in my key and opened the door. "Penelope?" I called out as I put my stuff on the couch. I took off my jacket and shoes. "Penny?" I put the keys in the little key bowl we had and walked to our room. "Penny?" I open the door to the bedroom and she was tied up. Her eyes go wide, and teary."PENNY!" I go to her and begin to untie her from the ropes.
"Alia, you have to go."
"But I just got here."
"Alia, please. I love you, and I don't want you to get hurt." "Penny, you aren't making any sense."
"Please, just go. You can't stay here!"
"I'm not leaving."
"Can you stop being stubborn for a few minutes and listen to me?" Her eyes go wide. "Please.. Just leave us alone." I turn around and see a face, covered.
"Why are you here little Alia?"
"How do you know my name?" I asked the stranger.
"Let's just say I caused the death of your mother.. And the reason your dad left you."
"Why?! You made my life miserable for how many years?! What did I ever do to you?"
"You were the reason Mike and Beatrice got married, you little insect."
"Just leave me alone!" I reach for a knife I had under my bed, don't ask why, and threw at him, it landing on his chest. He yelps and I grab Penny, and ran out of the room and Into the hallway. "I hate what I'm going to do right now." I said to myself and knocked at Chole's apartment. Her jock boyfriend opened up.
"What do you want emo freak."
"Look, Chris, there's a man in there that wants to revenge me I have no idea why. I just need borrow your phone."
"Why?" Then the door to my apartment slams open and Chris's eyes go wide. "Get in here." I drag Penny inside and he slams the door shut. "The phone is right on the table." I run to it and call the police.
"What's your emergency?"
"There's a man right out my apartment and he's trying to do something to me. I stabbed him to let me and my friend go. Please come quick, he murdered my mom 19 years ago." "Miss, stay calm, who are you with?"
"I'm at my neighbors house, with him and my friend." I gave the guy the address and told me they were on the way.
"GET OUT OF THERE YOU LITTLE SHIT!" He yelled. Chris looks at me shocked.
"Why is he after you?"
"He blames me for destroying the relationship he had with my mom 19 years ago." Penny walks up to me and smooth my hair, claiming me down instantly.
"So he wants to kill you too?"
"I'm guessing."
"Dick."
"Like you." I whispered. "Thanks for lettin me use your phone."
"No problem. I guess your alright.... Alia."
"Same to you Chris." He smiles and looks out the peek hole. "He went back inside your house. Totally destroyed the front door though."
"POLICE DONT MOVE!" I sighed in relief.
"FUCK YOU ALIA MICELLE!" He yelled and his screams faded slowly.
"Let's go back home." Penny said. "You need rest." She helps me up in my feet.
"Thanks Chris."
"No problem. Just a neighbor." He said and we walked out. Welcome Home to me.
