Two weeks later…

Hex’s POV

The plan was set. We had everything ready. Storm had called in more connections and somehow managed to get us a helicopter, guns, and a couple of grenades.

Honestly, I didn’t want to know how he did it. Especially how he got the helicopter…

Sometimes, it was better not to question things.

Storm, Eagle, Zero, and Rift were all waiting patiently by the park. It was where I had asked them to meet. We would review the plan and what to do. As soon as we separated Austin from Raelyn, we could strike. It would be easy once they were separated. What the tricky part was is the time when we needed to get Austin away.

That could be easily solved.

“Ready?” Rift asked me. Zero looked at me with bright eyes as his friend fiddled with a watch on his wrist. Rift was always on time. Always.

“Almost.” I answered before going over to Storm. He had the eyes on that girl, Sara. She was constantly a companion to Rae. We had to take her out if nesaccary.

“Hex, we have to get going soon. It’s about time.” Storm told me. I nodded. The men gravitated towards their vehicles as I nodded. Eagle started to distribute weapons as Storm checked his phone once again.

“Where’s our location?” Rift asked. He and Zero had managed to “acquire” some motorcycles illegally. Storm handed me a sheet of locations and weapon lists.

“You’ll be at the intersection between fourth and Phlanx street. Remember, keep your eyes out for Ryker and if he shows himself, chase him down and let us know.” I commanded. They nodded in sync and hopped on their motorcycles. The engines revved up as they started to head out.

“Storm and Eagle, you’ll be just outside the house. Once Austin leaves, I need you to follow him and keep him as far away from the house as possible. I’ll be going inside and taking the targets.” I explained. They nodded and got into two separate trucks. We all had our phones on us just in case we had an emergency.

“Let’s roll.” I nodded and we all moved into our locations.

The final hunt has begun.
