Memories that Haunt Us

Blood Lust

James’s POV

Oh yes, the studios that OM&M recorded in. For twelve long years, I had trailed Raelyn. She was supposed to be my girl, not Austin’s! Rae was supposed to belong to me! So from that thought, I let my plan bloom.

The man, he told me I had to get her back. The tall man with the brown hair and the crazed eyes. His entire body glowed with an unearthly light, but I could not resist the glow. He told me how to get her, how to take Rae from Austin.

But he never told me his name.

That’s okay. I was here, I had orders from him. I had the knife I bought and the note attached to it. I just needed to leave it in a “safe” location with easy accessibility. If I could single one out, it would be better. The man with the unearthly glow told me I had to run quick, because Austin was fast, and so was Alan.

Stab, stab, stab, stab, stab…

No one noticed the boy with the black slip by the front desk without asking. They didn’t notice my presence and that was okay. The knife was anxious and wanting to soak up the blood. It wanted warmth for its cold, metal body.

A sign directed me to the recording session of the band. A water fountain was about ten feet away. Stopping by the metal bodies, I took a sip of the cool water. Another door was nearby, so I casually leaned against it to act like I belonged here. There was lots of laughing and fooling around in the studios.

The man told me that Raelyn would not be here, but the manger was in the studios with the band. I did not need Raelyn, I just needed a messenger. The man with the devilish glow said not to go for Rae, but to aim just to the left. That meant her sister would be a fine target.

“I’m going to get some water.” A man stated and slipped out the door. I didn’t look up to see the man, Aaron, walk over to the water fountain, not even paying attention to me. I had done my research on the band members, so I was glad I could recognize the musician.

Stab, stab, blood, blood, warmth, warnings….

The knife longed for the blood, so I gave it what it wanted. Taking the knife out, I went over to the man who stood up, eyeing me suspiciously. He saw the knife and started to turn around, but I was faster. Oh, the man didn’t see it coming!

The knife slid into his side, blood drenching his grey shirt. I cupped a hand over his mouth, to not warn the others, but it was too late. Aaron let out a scream as I dropped him to the ground and sprinted down the long hall. Stairs were at the other side and I ran to them.

I heard three pairs of footsteps follow me, screaming a string of curses at my fading form. They tracked me to the park until I could twist around trees to lose them.

The man would be very pleased.

Stab, stab, stab, stab….
