Celebrate the Way the Night Hides Scars

~Max's point of view~
While we were driving to the movie theater, I asked Vic
"Wait is this a date?"
He said nothing and looked at me smugly.
"Is it?!" I asked as I laughed.
"Do you want it to be?" he asked.
"Well uhm to be honest, yeah..."
"Then it's a date!"
I laughed. I bit my lip. Just the thought of this is amazing. I'm so lucky to have Vic.
We arrived at the movies shortly after.
"What movie do you want to see?"
"Romance?"
Vic picked out a romance movie for us to watch.
"That'll be $13.99," said the cashier.
I slid the 20 before Vic could do anything.
"Come on now," Vic said.
"Too late," I said with a smile.
"Your change is $6.01," the cashier said handing me the change. "Enjoy your movie,"
"Thanks," Vic said.
We walked to the concession stand.
"I was gonna pay," Vic said.
"You paid for my merch which as well over $20," I responded.
"Whatever. What do you want?"
"Can we get a large drink and popcorn and share it? Not to be cheap." I asked.
"Sure!"
Vic paid for the popcorn and drink. I took the popcorn from him so he wouldn't have so much to carry. We walked into the theater. It was filled with couples. It was one of those theaters where the seats were made in two, for the couples. It would be more romantic that way.
"You know when I was like in the 6th grade a few of my friends invited me to the movies with them and most were 'couples' but my best friend had a boyfriend but he couldn't come for some reason, and I didn't have a boyfriend so we just sat there together,"
"Quality not the quantity," Vic said as he laughed. We chose a good seat. We watched the movie until about a little bit past halfway; there was this really sappy part with tons of kissing. We both felt the awkwardness. To break it, I turned and looked at Vic. He turned to look at me. Vic leaned in for a kiss. We kissed passionately. I laid my head on his shoulder. I was so happy but I knew it was only a matter of time until life could mess it up again.

~Vic's point of view~
I took Maxie's hand in mine. I don't want to leave her side. The movie ended shortly after our kiss. We walked out of the theater. We drove to my house to hang out a little more. Tony and his girlfriend were there.
"Jaime and Jessica went somewhere," Erin said.
"Oh okay," I said. "Erin, meet my girlfriend, Maxie,"
"Hi," Maxie said.
"Nice to meet you," Erin said.
Tony shot me the 'you-two-are-dating?' look. I nodded. Tony smiled wide.
"Where's Mike?" I asked.
"Sleeping," Tony said.
"So what do you want to do now?" I asked Maxie.
"Just spend the rest of my life with you," she replied.
