One Hundred And One Sleepless Nights

I don't know where everyone is. First Uncle Alan didn't come, then Mommy and Daddy both went missing. Daddy promised he'd come, and now they have gone missing together. I asked Polly but she wouldn't tell me anything. She told me to watch the magician. I told her he's crap. She never told me off neither.
Polly is nice. Mommy doesn't like her much. I don't think Daddy does anymore too. Maybe it's because she doesn't like Theo.
I went over to Uncle Mike and kept tapping his leg. "Here's the birthday girl." Uncle Mike said and picked me up and held me.
"Where's Mommy and Daddy?" I asked.
"I don't know," Uncle Mike said. "Oi, Tony! Where's Vic and Zee?" Uncle Mike called.
"No idea!" Uncle Tony shrugged.
"They went to find Uncle Alan," I said. "Maybe they're solving a mystery."
"Maybe, Sweet. They'll be back soon." Uncle Mike said and set me down.
"Maybe I should be a detective and solve the mystery." I smiled.
"Good idea, just don't go out onto the street." Uncle Mike said.
I wondered over to the kitchen and reached up to get a glass off the counter. I put it to my eye and started looking for clues. I stopped when I saw two shoes that look like Daddy's. I looked up and grinned when I saw Daddy.
"Hey Princess." Daddy said and pulled that face I told Mommy about before.
"Where's Mommy and Uncle Alan?" I asked.
"They'll be here soon, go and play." Daddy ruffled my hair. Then he went to talk to Uncle Mike and Uncle Austin. I put the glass to my eye again and snuck to follow them. They went up the stairs and into the room I stay in when we have sleepovers.
I stayed outside the door where I could hear them talking in grown up voices. No being silly.
"You're joking." Uncle Austin said, but not in a happy voice.
"What are we going to do?" Uncle Mike asked.
"I don't know, but he's got a real problem according to Leah." Daddy told everyone. He must mean Aunt Leah. She's not actually my Aunt. Daddy calls her a witch. She can't be though, she doesn't have any warts.
"What will Zee do when she finds him?" Uncle Mike asked. Zee is what the grown ups call Mommy.
"She'll kill him." Uncle Austin said. I can't figure out who they're talking about.
"Then she'll stage an intervention and kill him again." Daddy said.
Mommy can't kill someone! She'll go to jail and I'll have to go live with Daddy again. Mommy says she wants to kill Polly lots, but she's never done it.
"And what were they doing? Seeing each other or just fucking?" Uncle Mike said a bad word!
"Seeing one another. She was trying to get him off the booze." Daddy said. Then Daddy looked up. He saw me and gasped. "Alex!" Daddy yelled and started coming to the door. I ran away and went into the bathroom. I closed the door and watched him pass my door. I hope he doesn't shout.

Hey everyone. I know this is horrible and short, I'm sorry. I know that I usually update two chapters if the first is short but there won't be another today. I'm just having a bad day, I'm feeling really shitty. Everything's turning to shit again and it hardly seems like I've gotten very far really. Anyway, that's why I haven't replied to your comments.
