One Hundred And One Sleepless Nights

Changes

If I could I would run away. I would avoid her eye. I would throw myself off of a cliff. But I can't. Jemma is absolutely fuming. I've never seen her so angry. "What is happening?!" Jemma demanded.
"Nothing." I rushed.
"A mistake." Vic added.
"You're a cheater!" Jemma accused. "You're both cheaters!"
"I'm not a cheater!" I argued.
"You're the reason he's a cheater!" Jemma shot at me. "He cheated on Leah with you, and the other one too. Now he's cheated on Polly!"
"Stop." I tried.
"No, I will not!" Jemma spat. "Polly should know." she said and went to go back inside. But Vic ran to her and grabbed her arm. I stood in front of the door to stop her from going back inside.
"You can't do that." I sighed.
"You're selfish!" Jemma snapped. "You're so self absorbed, Zandra. I don't even know why we're friends."
"Because of Austin!" I shot back angrily. "You knew if I didn't like you that Austin wouldn't take things much further with you. So you wormed your way in to be friends with me!"
"It always has to be about you," Jemma shook her head. "On my hen weekend you argued with Polly. Last night you argued with Vic. Now on my damn wedding day you have make yourself the centre if attention. I know you have a lot going on, but Christ! I wanted one day, Zandra!" Jemma screamed.
"What's happening with Vic and I is about me! You don't need to get involved, Jemma. So do me a huge favour and leave me alone. Let me deal with it myself and stay the fuck out of my life!" I yelled, close to tears.
"Fine, nice to know how you feel!" Jemma snarled and pushed me out of the way to go inside. Vic ran after her and sighed, glaring down at my shoes. And just like that our friendship died, was butchered by my cold, unforgiving words.
Vic came back and buried his hands in his pocket. He gave me a sad smile while he walked over. "Jemma's giving me time to tell her myself." Vic explained.
"Good." I said flatly.
"Look, Zee," Vic said awkwardly. "I can't be around you. Nothing can happen between us again. I have Polly, and you'll find someone. If I'm around you this will just keep happening again and again." Vic explained.
"Thank you for your kind words, Vic," I shook my head angrily. "Tell me again why I ever wanted to be with you in the first place." I growled.
"I want to sort out real custody arrangements." Vic said.
Then what I said before didn't matter. I wanted everything. I wanted Vic. The shot was just fired and now I was bleeding. I'm already lying in the coffin, the words Vic said last night made sure of that. The kiss tricked me into thinking he was coming to save me. But custody just nailed the lid on. Alex is the only thing keeping the dirt from being chucked onto the top and keeping me trapped, gasping for air. If I lose her I have nothing left. She's the only good thing in my life.
"Fine." I muttered finally, not looking at him.
Vic looked at me for a while but I pushed past him and went inside. I found Jack by the bar and grabbed a drink. I drank hungrily and slammed the glass down down on the bar. Jack raised his eyebrows at me and I shrugged. "I'll tell you later." I muttered.

Vic text me a week later saying he was coming over to talk. I made sure Mike had Alex and tidied up to make sure he didn't have anymore ammo. He knocked and I went to let him inside. I looked down and frowned. Vic was wearing his usual skinny jeans and SnapBack but he was holding a briefcase that looked completely out of place.
We went to the couch and Vic opened the briefcase. He got out some papers and shuffled them. "What's going on?" I asked.
"My lawyer has drawn up some documents. So we can arrange custody without going to court." Vic explained. I laughed bitterly and he looked at me oddly.
"I never agreed to this!" I exclaimed.
"Zee, just hear me out."
"Fine." I shrugged.
"The agreement is I have Alex four days of the week, you have her three." he explained.
"You can't be serious! I get her three days?" I asked and he nodded. "And are you going to have her four days a week when you're on tour?" I mocked.
"No. Polly and I will be getting married. She'll have rights."
"I can't believe you!" I exclaimed. "While you've been touring and partying for years I've been at home with Alex having absolutely no love life! I haven't had a boyfriend since we broke up. While you've been fucking girls on the road, I've been working my ass off just to give Alex everything she needs. I've given Alex everything and now you have the nerve and audacity to take her away from me." I ranted.
"I'm not asking for full custody," he argued, to which I rolled my eyes. "I can offer Alex more and you know it. Just sign it." Vic snapped.
"No!" I spat. I took the documents from him and tore them into tiny pieces. I went to my window and scattered the pieces out, watching them furl in the wind until they hit the dirty road and were swept up as a car went past.
"Do you want to turn to the courts?!" he demanded angrily.
"Do it!" I threatened. "Now get out of apartment!"
Vic stood up crossly and hurried out of my apartment. I watched his car drive away from my window and my hind bleeped. I picked it up and saw a text from Vic. It was simple. 'Sorry'. He has a real twisted way of showing it.
It didn't take long until the girls showed up. I let them inside and they came bearing wine and ice cream. We sat down and Leah and Charlie both told me Hannah had flown back to England. Charlie is giving her boyfriend the silent treatment after he told his friends she is in fact a size 8 and not a size 6. Leah has been complaining about how this guy she's seeing isn't clued up on how to use his tongue and she's been giving him lessons. But they're both waiting for me to tell me why I called them over.
"Vic's going for four day custody." I admitted.
"No!" Charlie gasped.
"That complete bastard!" Leah exclaimed.
"I think he's serious." I sighed.
"He can't." Leah said.
"That's awful!" Charlie added.
"That man needs to be shot down!" Leah shook her head. "Have another drink." she said and topped my glass up. These two are the only people that will give me an appropriate reaction. I'm not ready to face Austin or Alan or Kate just yet.

Notes

Hey! What did you think? Was this a huge disappointment? You all expected some pro creation but instead you got screaming, broken friendships and custody. What do you want to see next? Are you for Vandra or Jandra? :)

Hey... I can't believe I just stopped reading this book...
When I opened the site today, I felt like I kinda came back home!
I'm so sorry I kinda like wasn't here when the story was developing! I stopped reading after Vic's dad died... I'm so stupid...
Well, I cried over and over when I was reading and I also laughed very hard when needed.
It just was hillarious when Mike said that thing with "It took two minutes before they were in bed." :)))
But I was sure someone will say that! Even if he would be Vic... it would be funnier if Vic said that! :)))
As the begining I didn't know who was naratting, so I thought it was Zee. And when I've read that he wrapped his arms around her I was like... Oh shit... No Vandra??? :)))
Thank you for writing this AWESOME story. Sorry for being stupid and just fucking prefer my lasyness *I don't know if it's written okay.. if not.. I don't care! :))*
Please, if you can, can you pm me if you come with an incredible idea of a story....
This time I hope I will read it all while you are still writing it :)))
Peace! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year because why not? :* :))

Oh wow.. I finished this just in 3 hours.. It was amazing p! Some of the parts really pissed me off and stuff.
there were also a lot of emotional parts. But this was amazing!c: keep up with the good work lovely.

I actually read this one a few days ago, but I just thought I would mention it. It was amazing and well written. I know I might seem strange commenting on a lot of your stories, but they are extremely good. Plus I am procrastinating sleep. But I did enjoy this story! Keep up the amazing work.

@underthebluemoon
It's very sad! But thank you so so much! I think it was always going to end that way. Even though Jandra was a lovely idea. Wow, thank you. I do put a lot of thought into the meaning of every chapter actually. At the end it did turn into something that did have a lot of morals and I know a lot of people appreciated that. That makes my day because all I want to do is to make you happy! Stay happy please :) Jack is fine! They're on good terms and friends. They just couldn't be romantically involved. Jack has his life and Zee has hers. You're welcome! Thank you for reading and commenting! :)

I'm so sad the story ended but I loved it. The ending was great, I was also quite happy that Vandra finally happened even tho saying goodbye to Jandra was a LOT to handle. I've been in love with this story and I always will love this story, it slowly developed into such a great thing and it has really good morals and meanings and it's just wow. Words cant explain how much this story has made me happy and how much I love it so thankyou so much! I do want to know tho, what eventually happened to Jack? Did he leave for good or are they on good terms? Thanks for everything! :)
