Megan's POV

Today is a Saturday and Uncle Mike is taking me out for the day just to get away from everything happening at home for a while. Me and Uncle Mike haven't spent a lot of time together recently because of everything happening with me and mum, I miss him and I can't wait for today. He's taking me to a fair, I've never been to a fair before so I'm excited, it'll take my mind off of things that's for sure.

"Megan, Uncle Mike is downstairs" My dad said as he came into my room. I was finishing off my mascara and then I smiled at my appearance.

"Now coming" I smiled. I grabbed my bag and then followed my dad downstairs. I saw Uncle Mike standing in the hallway with his typical outfit on. Cut off KeyStreet shirt with 3/4 shorts on and a snapback. I chuckle, he'll never change what he wears.

"You ready for the best day ever?" Uncle Mile asked as I put my shoes on. I nodded my head.

"Yes, I've never been to a fair!" I said. He looked shocked.

"You girl, have never lived!" He said over dramatically earning a laugh from me and my dad. I shook my head at him then quickly ran into the lounge. My mum was laying on the couch peacefully while watching TV. She didn't really seem that interested in it but she had nothing else to do, the chemo has made her too weak to do anything.

"Bye mum" I said as I approached her. She looked at me and smiled.

"Bye baby, have fun!" She said. I hugged her tightly and she kissed the top of my head, "be good for Uncle Mike Megan!" She added.

"I will mum" I smiled then went back out to the hallway. My dad pulled me into a hug and kissed my head also.

"Have fun!" He smiled.

"I will dad" I said, "bye!" I waved then left with Uncle Mike. We hopped into the car and he drove off.

"Alysha will be joining us later when she gets back from work!" He informed me. I nodded my head with a smile. I liked Alysha, she was good for my Uncle Mike, they're very much a like and he likes her a lot. She's nice to me, she treats me to clothes sometimes when we go shopping together and I like to be spoilt occasionally.

"Okay!" I smiled. We drove for a good half hour while listening to All Time Lows latest album Don't Panic, the ATL guys are close with my mum and dad and I sometimes see them, they're funny guys and I get along with them.
Just over half an hour later, we arrived. I hopped out of the car and it was huge, there was so many rides, it amazed me.

"Excited?" He smirked. I nodded.

"Yes, this is all new to me!" I said and dragged him by the arm to the gates to get inside. Uncle Mike brought us both wristbands to be able to go on as many rides as we like and excited was an understatement for me right now, I felt like a little kid again. My mum and dad never had the chance to take me and Jacob to something like this when we were younger because of dad's work and my mum was really protective of us and didn't want us getting hurt, typical mum. I dragged him over to a drop ride, I rode up really high then suddenly dropped, it looked exciting.

"Come on Uncle Mike!" I said excitedly as he was walking too slow. He chuckled at my childish behaviour.

"I'm coming!" He laughed. We queued for about 5 minutes then were finally allowed on the ride. Me and Uncle Mike sat together and we strapped in tightly, I didn't want to fall out. Once the person who work there checked everyone, he started the ride. It slowly started to rise up, going painfully slow. The view was amazing though, I got a good sight of the beach. I was too mesmerised by the view when suddenly the ride dropped. I screamed my head off from the sudden shock of falling. As I came back to the floor again I was breathing quickly. I unstrapped myself from my seat and walked out.

"Gosh you scream loud" Uncle Mike complained as he held his ear. I hit him in the arm playfully.

"That scared me!" I whined. He just laughed at me and walked off to find another ride to go on.

A couple of rides later, I felt a little sick from it all and I was feeling hungry too.

"Can we go eat?" I asked as we were walking around.

"Of course, what do you want?" He asked looking around for a place to eat.

"Anything, I just need food" I said, "preferably pizza!" I added with earned a laugh from Uncle Mike.

"You haven't changed" He laughed. I shook my head. I may have changed a lot in the past few years but my love for pizza will never change. After a while of looking, we finally found a place that sold pizza. I was so excited and dragged Uncle Mike inside. He was on the phone to Alysha and I think they were talking about where to meet because he was giving her directions. He hung up and smiled at me.

"Alysha joining us?" I asked already knowing the answer. He nodded.

"Yeah, she'll be with us soon!" He replied with a grin. He's love struck with her and it's adorable. We sat down at a table and looked at the menus.

"What are you having?" I asked. He was looking at the menu in deep thought.

"Maybe a cheese burger" He said, "I take a pizza for you?" He asked with a knowing smile.

"Pepperoni pizza always!" I replied. He laughed at me. Then a waitress came over and took our orders.

"So how are you?" He asked as the waitress left us.

"I'm fine" I shrugged. I was expecting this, I haven't really spoken to Uncle Mike about anything I've been through recently so I knew he'd want to talk to me about it once he got me by myself with him.

"Truth?" He asked not really believing me. I sighed.

"I don't know" I said, "I'm fine after what I went through a few months back because I have Finn, the guys and all of you too help me through it but the situation with mum is stressing me out" I admitted. He took my hand and squeezed it.

"You're allowed to be upset, if you ever feel upset or feel like this is all too much for you, you have all of us to take care of you!" He said seriously. I smiled gratefully at him.

"Thankyou Uncle Mike but it's not really fair for mum or anyone else" I sighed.

"Who cares, of course your mum is everyone's main worry but you have to think about yourself as well, you can always stay with Me and Alysha sometimes or Tony and Erin because I'm sure little Elizabeth would like to see you!" He explained. I smiled.

"I guess, I might take you up on that offer one day" I said. Then the waitress came back with two plates in the hands. My tummy was rumbling because I was so hungry and the sight of pizza in front of me was making my mouth water. I dug in the second she placed it in front of me. Uncle Mike laughed at my eagerness.

"Someone's hungry" He laughed. I just mumbled in response, my mouth was full of food to reply with words.

After we'd eaten, we walked out and went to find Alysha, she was somewhere in the park but we couldn't find her. As we were walking around, I spotted a blonde woman with a shoulder tattoo that looked familiar. I tapped Uncle Mike on the shoulder and he looked down at me.

"It that her?" I asked point in her direction. He smiled with a nodded when he noticed her.

"ALYSHA!" He shouted loudly. She twirled round once she heard her name being called and spotted us with a grin. She strolled over and kissed Uncle Mike as she approached him.

"Hey you two" She smiled, "how are you Megan?" She asked politely as she tuner and faced me.

"I'm good thanks, I like your new thigh tattoo!" I complimented her on the new tattoo a could see.

"Thankyou sweetie!" She grinned.

"How about another ride?" Mike suggested as he wrapped an arm around both our shoulders. We nodded then went to find another ride. It was nice to have a day away from my family, not in a mean or selfish way but I just need a break. Uncle Mike and Alysha were the right people for it, they know how to have fun.

Notes

I felt like there wasn't enough Mike so I wrote a bit of Mike and Megan bonding time.
