Finding freedom

We went to IHOP and ate breakfast then Mel and the girls wanted to go shopping for clothes, so we were going to the mall.

We arrived at the mall and made our way inside.

"Ok, so we will split up, get what we need and meet at the food court around 4PM?"
Jaime suggested, he always has a plan for any situation.
Everyone gave an ok and we parted ways.

I was just walking around the mall, mainly because there was nothing I needed.
I was checking my phone when I ran into somebody.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I wa-" I stopped as soon as I saw who I had bumped into.

"Vic?" the short blonde headed girl said with an undescribable expression on her face,
The memories from one night that changed my life came flooding back.

"Layla" I said just staring at her.
She was definitely somebody that I never thought I'd see again.

Before I could say anything else she pulled me in and crashed her lips on mine,
In that moment I couldn't help but kiss back.

We continued until I heard yet another very familiar voice.

"Vic, what the fuck?!?" Mel yelled.
I quickly pulled away, "Me-" she cut me off, "I'm so fucking stupid for ever thinking you give a shit" she said before bursting into tears and running away.

"Vic" Layla said before I ran after Mel.
This couldn't be happening, why did I kiss back?
I loved Mel, not Layla.
I am such an asshole.

I ran out of the mall but Mel was nowhere to be seen.
This was bad,I needed to find her before she had the chance to do something bad.

I thought for a minute for where she might be, then it popped up.
"The tree!" I yelled running out of the parking lot.
I'm sure I got a lot of weird looks from people, but right now nothing else mattered but getting to Mel.

how do I always find a way to fuck everything up?
