Finding freedom

I woke up with cold chills running down my spine.
I sat up and looked down at Vic.
He was just lying there so painfully asleep.

Why must I always break everything I touch?
Am I just not supposed to have love?, was my life really supposed to build my happiness up and just destroy it?

just as I thought that, I felt Vic grab my hand.

I looked down at his fragile body and he looked into my eyes.
In his eyes I saw pain, broken, a sense of being lost...but he hid it so cleverly around other people.

Why was he being this way with me?

He pulled my hand to his lips and kissed it.
I blushed like the moron I always am.
and then the thought of Mike's kiss flooded my mind.
I stood up and ran away.

Hearing Vic yell my name made my mind spin.
I ran into the ladies restroom and made it to a stall.
I sat down in the corner of the stall against the wall and pulled my knees to my chest.

I don't know What to do.
I am at the point where I'm gonna lose everything.

Once Kathy finds out about the kiss, she will hate me forever.
And Vic is gonna feel so let down when he hears about it.

it's so funny how one second you can be having the time of your life, and then it just all go away after one mistake, one misunderstanding, one bad assumption towards somebody else.

Everything you think, say and do can mean life or death, good or bad.

And I think that everything has turned for the worst now.

I stood up and left the restroom after i had calmed down.

I walked down the hall towards the waiting room.
when I reached the doors that opened into the check in area, I heard Vic say the end of the hall.

I turned around and saw a nurse pushing him in a wheelchair towards me.
I stood there for a second and then walked back down the hall to meet him halfway.

Once we reached each other, he stood up on his good leg and lightly pulled me in for a kiss.

The second our lips touched I felt safe.
Like I was home for the first time in forever, it was in all ways possible amazing.

We both pulled away and he looked me in the eyes and said
"you're not leaving me that easily"
with a grin that could stretch around the world.

I love this person more than anything in the entire world.
