Finding freedom

I ran into the hospital wiping my lips, as if that's gonna wipe away the fact that he just kissed me.
I have no idea how to react.
How should I? Why did he do that? What was he even thinking? He is dating my best friend, how is SHE gonna react to this?

My thoughts were interrupted by the nurse notifying us that Vic was conscious.
Tony and Kathy sort of just looked at the other for a minute.
Then Kathy spoke "we'll sleep for a while and let you talk to him"
She said yawning and looking at me.
I nodded my head and followed the nurse.
We walked down the long hallway and finally made it to his room, she gave me a pass in case anybody questioned my presence and then left.

I stood in front of his door and took a deep breath.
Here we go.
I knocked on the door and then slowly walked inside.
I gasped when I saw him, his left leg was in a cast along with his right arm,
And his face was covered in cuts.
I did this.
I completely ruined everything.
Pierce the veil will not be able to attend warped tour and Vic is broken into a billion pieces.

"Well, this did not go as planned" he said with a twisted chuckle.
I walked over to the chair next to his bed and scooted it closer to him.
"Vic, I'm so so sorry" I said holding his right hand and bowing my head on it.
He shifted his body over and motioned for me to lie next to him.
I stood up and cautiously lied down wrapping my arms around his waist.
"Do you want to know about Layla now?" He asked.
I thought about it for a minute, "maybe its best to rest right now" I said lying my head on his chest.
He kissed my head.
Then I fell asleep.
