Dear Austin,
Thanks for responding to my letter! My mom says hello and thanks for the regards! Mom is doing better. She is constantly going into doctors appointments for scans for any other signs of cancer. Her surgery will take place sometime at the beginning of July and will be stuck in bed for about a month, but hopefully the surgery will take out all of the cancer!
So how is recording/practicing/being awesome going? Is Squidgy doing okay with it all? How's the ginger princess, Tino, and the rest? I hope it's fun out there! We just got out of school, and summer is about to kick in! Sorry for all the questions, but i'm curious how you all are!
Oh, my younger sister says hi! Her name is Lily-Pearl (LP for short), and she's about nine years old. LP loves cats and drew a picture for Alan because when I showed her your letter, she thought the cat in a beanie that he drew was adorable.

I folded up the letter, sealing it in an envelope. My little sis bounded into the room, clutching a white sheet of paper in her hands. She came up to my desk, and put a drawing on the flat surface. It had a picture of a cat that she drew herself.
"You drew a cat!" I exclaimed and ruffled her stringy blonde hair. She smiled and pushed my hand away. Her little hand pointed to the letter.
"For Alan." Her shy voice murmured. I swear, the girl had fallen head over heels for the guy she never met. I folded up the picture under her careful eye and slid the sheet into the cream envelope. She continued to watch as I licked the seal and carefully closed the package. LP held out her hands for the mail.
"Do you want to deliver it?" I asked her. With a short bob of her head, I handed the letter to my younger sibling and watched her bound down the steps. When I heard the door close, I bent over my window, looking out over her as she stretched upwards to open the box and push the letter in with two clumsy hands. From there she closed the lid and ran back inside.
The next morning, I anxiously peered through the mesh screen of my room's view to the world. The mailman leaned outside of his white vehicle and opened the box, taking our letter with it.
I watched him drive away.

This story has completely captured my full attention over the last few hours. I don't think I'll be able to sleep until I finish it. This is wonderful. I adore your writing and characters. Rae and Austin's relationship and the bond between Alan and lp are the most adorable freaking things ever. I've been laughing, wanting to cry, and majorly fangirling. This is beautiful and I love it so much. And the appearance of all of the various band members made me incredibly happy!
Okay back to reading.
