Dear Austin...

I was discharged from the hospital late Thursday morning. I grabbed only belongings, the phone and the slip of paper with digits scribbled on it, plus thr multitude of gifts. Rolling out in the wheelchair they pushed me to the front. "Raelyn!" LP cried out in front of me. I wrapped her in strong arms as I was hoisted into the car. She took the giant Squidgy and put it in my lap. I resisted the urge to cry out for him. "Alan gave me a Squidgy as well. But this one is a small Squidgy." LP crowed happily. I couldn't resist a happy smile. She went on and on about how she had missed me. When we finally arrived back at my house, I checked the clock nervously. It was almost time for Warped Tour to begin. I didn't want to put the burden of asking for a driver to the Tour, so I didn't remind my mom. Of course, she reminded me. "Hey, isn't that concert you were wanting to go to about to start?" She asked me over the kitchen counter. I nodded sullenly, still clutching the giant, multicolored squid. She glanced at the clock. Turning back to me, she put on a serious face. "Austin talked to me about Warped Tour. He said you still wanted to go out there." "We talked about it a little." I admitted. "Do you still really want to go?" She asked. I rubbed the bandages under my shirt. Their fabric was rough to the touch. "Yes." I said shyly. Lily-Pearl came bouncing around the corner. She too, clutched her personal Squidgy to her side. "You should text Austin." She whispered to me.
