Sofia p.o.v.

Since Fanny left the house the situation between me and Viviana wasn’t getting better. At all.
She was never at home at night and barely during the day, I thought she spent all her time with Matt and Jaime didn’t do any moves.
I tried to speak with Tony, but he didn’t say that much and Jaime seemed more confused day by day: one day he wanted to talk to my sister and the other didn’t.
Viviana, anyway, was not speaking with me, she talked to me only when it was necessary like when she went to my grandparents and she needed the address.
I didn’t know what to do, I felt like I was losing my sister and nothing could stop this process.
Now she was in her room, maybe I could try to talk to her. Hesitant I went upstairs and knocked at her door, she opened.
“Hi.”
I said awkwardly.
“Hi. What do you want?”
“Just talk.”
“Come in.”
I followed her into her room and I sat on the bed.
“Are you doing good here in San Diego?”
“Yeah. It’s a pretty nice city.”
“How are the things going with Matt?”
“Good, we are closer day by day. And you?”
“Oh, good. Tony is good with me, you know. You still live here.”
“Not for so much.”
“Are you still thinking about to go away with Matt?”
I said sadly.
“Yeah. See how we are, we barely spoke and you are divided between me and Jaime. It can’t work, Sofia, you know it.
We need to put some distance between us and what happened.”
“Is it really necessary to go with Matt? Can’t you just stay here?”
“I think I love him, I don’t wanna let him go and regret it for life.”
“And Jaime?”
She dropped her head.
“It’s too late. We can’t get along like we used to do, I used to have a crush on him and now is passing away. At this moment we can’t be friends, there’s too much between us, he needs to forget me and find a new girl.”
“So you won’t fight for him?”
“No, like I said we all need some room to breathe and left all this drama behind us.”
She made up her mind and she was right, but still I was shocked about the idea of leaving her going away in a foreign country.
“I should never leave home.”
“Don’t say that, you couldn’t live there no more, you were dying slowly, day by day.”
“Now I don’t feel better.”
“I’m sorry. I know it hurts, but it’s the only way to make things work.”
I sighed, speechless, she was right. She was fucking right.
“Well, if I can’t make you change your mind I’ll go. Just know that I love you and you will always be my little sister.”
“I love you, too.”
I left the room and went downstairs, Tony was speaking at the phone with someone and I didn’t bother him, instead I stepped towards the couch.
I laid down here for a while, it was a long call. When he finished she sat next to my feet.
“How was it?”
“Better than the other days, but she still want to move in England with Matt.”
“You can’t stop her, do you know?”
“I know. It’s not my duty anymore, the only one who can do something is Jaime, but I don’t think he will do something.”
Tony didn’t say anything, he wanted to stay outside of this situation and I couldn’t blame him, the whole thing was between me and Viviana.
“Mike will throw a party tomorrow, also Of Mice & Men will be there, I said we joined.”
I sighed.
“What’s wrong, honey?”
“I’m not in the mood to party. My sister is leaving and I can’t stop her, what’s so good in this?
Nothing!”
He sighed and got up, he made some space and then sneaked into my arms.
“Being here all alone won’t help you, come and meet the guys. They are all worried because you don’t answer to their texts and calls and also your Skype friends are.
Come on, please.
For a night don’t think about all this mess and have fun.”
I stayed silent for a while, then I groaned.
“Ok, you win. I’ll come.”
Tony gave me one of his brightest smile.

The party was nice.
When we and Tony arrived Vic and Mike almost jumped over me and they hugged me tightly.
“Long time we doesn’t see, I missed you!”
Said Vic.
“Ehi, blue hair, this evil Mexican turtle didn’t let you smoke some weed with an old friend?”
“ Nope, but I will join you later, giraffe. I missed you.”
“Yeah, me. I guess you missed my weed.”
I kissed his cheek and they became a little pink.
“Love ya, brother.”
“Lova ya, too, sister.”
We greeted the Of Mice & Men and we started the party, even Jaime was not still here.
“Why isn’t he here?”
I asked to Vic.
“Well, I dunno. He called and said that he had something to do before.”
“Oh, God! I hope they are not related to Viviana.”
“I think they are.”
“Shit!”
I said under my breath, he will probably find her with Matt and I saw some drama coming towards us, can we escape it?
Nope.
I said to myself to keep calm, maybe Jaime had got other things to do, things that didn’t involve my sister.
I really hope that it will be that way, but I’m sure that my hopes will crash.
