What's So Good About Picking Up The Pieces? (Discontinued)

Tony's P.O.V.

I walked inside and found Lidia and Mike on the couch, making out..They pulled away from each other once they noticed I came in.

"Tony!...um...what are you doing here, I thought you were on a date..." Lidia asked, rushing over to me.

"Yea, I was. What's he doing here? Better yet, why were you eating each other's faces off?" I said maybe a little too harsh. I was actually a little jealous right now. I noticed him first, why is she all over him?

"Tony, calm down! He's just...he's just a friend." Lidia answered. Yea right. "So that's why you had your tongue shoved down his throat?" I asked, angry. I have a history with guy's that get to Lidia, I fucking hate them all. This time, it seems like it might be the total opposite.

"Lidia, you know this guy? What's he doing here?" Mike asked, getting up. He obviously doesn't know we're related. Mike looked mad & he stood right in front of me, face to face.

"Mike, back off!" Lidia shouted.

"No, Lidia. Let him explain himself. So who are you, Mike?" I asked. I was angry, yet there were butterflies floating around my stomach. I think my cheeks were kind of red, but I could just say it's because I'm angry.

"I just so happen to be Lidia's new boyfriend. Is there a problem?"

"She's my sister, of coarse it's a problem." I replied. With that Mike's face totally changed & he stepped back a bit. Guess he had the wrong idea.

"Fuck...sorry, man." Mike apologized. His face went pink. I smiled to myself at how adorable he looked. "You got the wrong impression of me...I'm actually a nice guy." Mike defended.

"It's okay. Lidia, you mind if I talk to him?" I asked, turning my attention to Lidia. Lidia knew that by 'talk' I usually tried scaring away her guys, but this one's different. She already had a look of doubt & sadness in her face.

"Fine...bye Mike.." Lidia spoke, heading into the kitchen. Mike looked like he lost all his charm. He's probably nervous. Suddenly I was nervous too...I do this all the time but never with someone I might actually like, myself.

"Dude, I'm really sorr-"

"Save it. So how did you two meet?.." I asked, now a little disappointed. I was supposed to get to him first.

"Uh...well, I've known her for a little over a month now, but I've been wanting to ask her out for a while. I met her in detention, actually." Mike spoke.

"What do you like about her?" I asked. Mike blushed a little & cleared his throat.

"A lot of things..." Mike spoke. I never thought he'd be this shy. "Wait, aren't you the guy who's got the hot's for Abby?"

"What?..yea, I just got back from a date with her."

"How'd it go? You get lucky tonight?"

"Obviously not if I'm here. But I had fun, she want's to do it again."

"That's awesome! If you really want her to like you, I could be your wing-man. " Mike said, winking at me. Holy fuck. I felt my face get extremely warm.

"Um..but you don't even know me. What would you tell her?"

"That's why we're gonna be best friends." Mike put an arm around me & grinned. Maybe this is just his way of getting on my good side to be with my sister. Either way, I was enjoying it. Who was I to object on being Mike Fuentes's bestfriend?

"Okay. But, we're getting off topic, here." I replied.

"Fuck.." Mike mumbled. I laughed.

"What's so funny?"

"You're just cute, that's all." I realized what I said & panicked.

"Did you just say I was cute?" Mike asked. He was raising an eyebrow at me. I tried not to look at him.

"W-what? No. No, I didn't. Why would I say that? You're just hearing things." I replied. This time Mike laughed. His laugh is gorgeous.

"Why are you laughing now?" I asked

"You're...um, you're funny. So what were we talking about?" Mike smiled. That smile melts me.

"Right...um, what do you like about my sister?" I asked, looking away.

"She's sweet, let's see...she's gorgeous, she makes me laugh, she's fun, she has beautiful eyes , perfect smile, she has a big heart, & she knows how to be a real bitch when she has to." Mike laughed. I couldn't help but smile. She did know how to be a total bitch sometimes. I'm glad she didn't say anything about her body, I would have been grossed out. It kind of sucks knowing he likes her so much.

"Those are some good reasons..." I spoke. Mike nodded & smiled.

"Don't worry, Abby will be all over you soon. You'll see." Mike spoke, placing his hand on my leg. I tensed up, just nodding my head. Mike got up & walked towards the door. "I should get going. You mind if I um.."

"No, go ahead..." I answered. He walked into the kitchen & said goodbye to Lidia. I could see them kissing again. Ugh. He cam back out & waved goodbye, I waved back & he left. Lidia came out of the kitchen, running to me with the biggest smile.

"Tony!!!!! You did not!!!!" Lidia yelled, still not believing I didn't chase him away this time. She tackled me to the ground with a hug. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

I'm glad she was happy. I just hope she doesn't get her heart broken.

"You're welcome." I smiled.
