What's So Good About Picking Up The Pieces? (Discontinued)

Tony's P.O.V.

I followed Lidia into her room, she was angry as hell but I didn't want mom to hear us.

"Lidia, you're insane. Do you think I like him?" I asked. I was really hoping it wasn't this obvious.

"Oh, I'm not insane. I know what it looks like when someone likes someone else. You like Mike." Lidia made her way over to her closet, she put her heels down and took her Toms out, then sat at her mirror with a brush to comb her hair.

"N-no, I don't." I denied, sitting down on her bed.

"Abby told me you like Micky Harris. Micky Harris? Come on, Tony. We both know that's not true." Lidia spoke. She looked at me through the mirror while trying to get the knots out of her hair.

"I'm telling mom."

"Then I'm telling Mike." Lidia said, looking straight at me not, putting her brush down.

"No you're not." I stated.

"Watch me."

"You're not gonna do it. What kind of sister would you be if you called out your own brother for finding out he's gay and telling one of his few friends that he likes him?" I spoke. I was just a little mad right now. I don't even care if she knows now.

"So...you really are?..." Lidia whispered as if someone would hear us. I didn't say anything I just nodded.

"I'm sorry, Turtle...I didn't know. I won't tell him, I swear."

"Am I...do I disgust you now?"

"What...n-"

"Do you hate me now? You don't wanna be around me?" I asked. It's finally out there and I can't take it back. Nothing's gonna be the same now, she's not gonna look at me the same, she'll be disgusted by me. I was getting really worried, I felt a tear fall down and soon they came down like waterfalls.

"Tony..." Lidia stood up and sat on the bed next to me. I turned to look at her, she looked like she might cry too.

"Tony, you're not disgusting. I don't hate you, you're my brother. Being gay...it doesn't change anything." Lidia spoke. "I can't believe you'd ever think that.." Lidia pulled me into a tight, long hug. I couldn't help but cry, she held me until I stopped. I decided not to tell mom and she promised she wouldn't tell Mike or anyone else about anything. Hours have passed, it was six thirty now.

I was getting ready to head to school, Lidia was waiting for me, I was making us late again. I walked downstairs and grabbed my backpack.

"Finally." Lidia said. She followed me into the car and we drove away in silence. You know, except for the music playing. There's always music.

"Tony, don't park there, it's right next to Mike's car."

"So?"

"So, I feel bad and I don't want to see him."

"Too bad, there's no other spot right now." I laughed. She groaned and got out as soon as I stopped the car.

"Tony!" I turned around to see Mike behind me.

"Oh, hey."

"So um...I don't think I'm gonna go after Abby." Mike spoke. My whole face lit up, I felt the biggest wight lifted off me now. I tried to hide my smile but it was impossible.

"Why not?'" I asked.

"I just wanna stay single for a while...you should too. I heard Micky likes Josh anyway, man."

"Josh Heller or Josh Parish?" I asked.

"Uh...Heller? Yea, yea she likes him. Being single would do you some good though." Mike insisted. I actually felt great about this. No more having to pretend I like someone.

"Yea, you're right. Being single would be a good choice." I replied. I noticed Mike smile before he turned his face.

"Um, so...you wanna come over tonight? Maybe you could sleep over." Mike asked, turning to me.

"Yea, that would be fun. I'll try not to fall asleep on you again." I laughed. This can't get any better.

"No, actually, that's something you should do. I like those cuddles, Tone-bone." Mike chuckled before hitting my shoulder playfully and running off to his friends . I felt heat rise to my cheeks as I bit down on my lowed lip. The bell rang and I ran to my class as fast as I could. If I'm late this time, I'm getting detention.

I DON'T KNOW IF Y'ALL KNEW I HAD BRACES BUT I GOT THEM OFF YESTERDAY. OMG I LOVE MY TEETH.

Annyyyywaaayyy, is anyone from Vegas going to the Life Is Beautiful Festival this year? I really want to go D: but it's like $400, so no festival for me. I hope you liked this chapter c:
