I Said I'd Never Let You Go

As we got back to the venue I noticed that the sun was starting to set. I was about to ask Austin if he wanted to go see who was playing but Jenna came rushing up to me before I got the chance. She and Austin shared a look and I furrowed my brows; what was that all about I thought to myself.

“Did you not get any of my texts?” Jenna questioned.


“I was a little busy. What’s wrong?” I asked her noticing the frantic look on her face. I pulled out my phone.

“Jeremy is in the hospital. He slipped coming off one of the stages earlier. He broke his leg.” She tells me.

“Fuck! Where did they take him?” I demand.

“The hospital just up the road. Let’s go.” She says and starts to drag me back out of the venue.

The walk to the hospital didn’t take but five minutes. I was freaking out the whole way there too. Was he okay? Was he going to be able to play? If not who would we get to fill in? or would we have to leave tour. These thoughts drifted away as I walked through the doors.

“What room is Jeremy Castle in?” I ask the front desk tenant frantically.

“He is in room 206. Take the elevator to the second floor then take a right and it’s on you left.” She says with a smile.

We quickly got into the elevator and wait as it starts to move upward. The doors slide open and I rush out and down the hall. I turned into the doorway and saw the band all sitting around a dopey eyed Jeremy. I smiled at them all weakly. I immediately felt guilty for not paying attention to my phone.

“What happened?” I ask Cory.

“We were walking off the main stage when he hit a slick spot on the ramp. He lost his balance and fell over. His leg hit the side of the ramp really hard. All we heard was a loud cracking sound and then Jeremy started screaming.” He explained.

“Is he going to need surgery?” I questioned.

“They don’t know yet. They are waiting for the x-rays to come back.” Chloe says.

“Okay I am going to get a cup of coffee from the cafeteria. Anyone else want some?” I ask. Cory and Chloe accept the offer while the other decline. Walking back out of the room I see Austin and Jenna standing by the elevator.

With my mind buzzing with what was going to happen with Jeremy; I hadn’t realized that Austin had come with us to the hospital. He was in a fairly heated conversation with Jenna though. I wondered what was going on with them. First the weird glance at the venue now this. I didn’t even know that they knew each other; let alone well enough to have something to argue over.

As I drew closer to them; their conversation became loud enough for me to hear what they were saying and it only made me that much more confused.

“You had no right to do that Jenna. You were supposed to be her friend.” Austin says glaring at her.

“You are one to talk about betraying trust Austin.” She sneers back at him.

“Fuck you. You don’t even know what happened!” He yells.

“Really? So I don’t know that you got scared and ended up acting like a bitch and cheating on her?” She demands.

My jaw dropped. They were fighting about me? My brows knitted together farther. What could they possibly be fighting about that involved me?

“You need to tell her Jenna. Autumn has a right to know; and if you don’t tell her you can bet you ass I will.” Austin replies.

“What exactly do I have a right to know?” I ask loudly bringing their attention to me.

Sorry it has been so long. Life has been very hectic lately. On Thursday I headed downstate for warped tour. On Friday we got there and it was fucking AMAZING!!! I saw Breathe Carolina, Mayday Parade, Ice Nine Kills,Motionless In White, Enter Shikari (Who I met again. Such nice guys!!!!), For Today, Bowling for Soup, We The Kings, Falling In Reverse, AND OF COURSE OF MICE & MEN!!!! beyond an amazing day. got super sunburnt too :(

Sadly on the way home saturday, not even an hour into the four hour drive home, the transmission in my car blew up. So I spent the better part of my Saturday in one of the sketchier parts of Flint (One of the top cities in the country for crime rates.) But on the bright side I have an appointment tomorrow at 9:30 am at a dealership to hopefully get a new car!!!
