Moon Dance

I turned off the shower and headed out into Angelo's room, briefly stopping at the mirror to see the cut on my lip slowly starting to fade away. My lip was still a little bit yellow from the healing bruise and I stood there a moment longer before seeing Angelo appear in the mirror behind me.

"Hey." I whispered as his arms wrapped around my waist.

"Hey, how ya feeling?" he said, kissing my cheek.

I leaned into his embrace and we stood like for a few moments before he said something about making breakfast and headed to the kitchen while I got ready. I brushed my hair slowly and carefully since my head still had a slight bruise from where I hit the floor all that time ago and pulled on some leggings and grabbed one of Angelo's tees. He looked up at me when I entered the kitchen and smiled as he flipped some pancakes onto two plates.

"My favorite." I say as I grab the orange juice and two glasses.

We sit at the table, Maggie at my feet as I slip her pieces of bacon when Angelo isn't looking, and eat our homemade pancakes in silence.

"Aurora, Have you talked to Chris?" Angelo approached carefully.

I sighed, "Angelo, please tell me you have given up on trying to get me to go back to him. He texted me last night about heading out on tour with you guys but I didn't respond."

"I just wanted to know." Angelo said calmly, but couldn't hide the smirk forming on his face.

Angelo had tried for weeks after to get me to go back or at least talk to Chris but, after a very firm no he had decided to let it drop besides he didn't seem to mind cuddling up with me at night, even with all my crazy nightmares. After we finished eating we cleaned up the dishes and sat on the couch, me cuddled up into his side.

"How about we go out today?"

"Are you asking me out on a date?" I asked.

He looked down at me and kissed me gently, the cut on my lip didn't even sting when his lips met mine.

"What do you think?" he asked with a smile on his face.
