Moon Dance
I'm Not Perfect
Shit, the satisfaction turned to pure regret when I saw Aurora leave in Angelo's car. There was no way she would ever come back home to me and seeing Angelo's car out front when I arrived at home only proved that point.
"Angelo, listen I-"
"You don't have to apologize to me, I understand. I'm only here for some of Aurora's stuff." he said following me inside.
"I'm really sorry, and I hope you can forgive me." I said.
"Chris, we're friends, brothers. I can forgive you for what you did to me. I can't forgive you for what you did to Aurora. Plus it's not my forgiveness you should be asking for."
"How is she?" I asked, watching Angelo grab her suitcase and fill it with clothes and drawing stuff.
"She's okay. She can't sleep at night, she cries out you're name in the middle of the night." he murmured.
"Will you talk to her for me? I know I don't deserve it, but please?" I begged.
He threw her bag over his shoulder and sighed heading towards the door and opening it.
"I'll try." he said before closing the door and leaving me there.
I collapsed on the couch my hands shaking and a pain forming behind my eyes as I looked down at the framed photo on my table. I picked it up and stared at it, remembering the day clearly. It was our third date and I had taken her to see my buddy Jeremy Saffer for a photo shoot. Aurora was in a black corset dress, her hair hanging in loose ringlets around her face, dark shadows covered her eyelids and I stood behind her in a black suit. Her smiling face made me want to cry and I threw the picture down, cracking the glass and whimpered. Her bright green eyes in the picture still shown through the cracks.
