My World is You

I woke up to my alarm, it was six-thirty February ninth. I got up and ran to the bathroom and threw my guts up.
“You’re not going.” Ray said in the door way
“Yes I am.” I said
“What? Just so you can try and sleep with him and throw up on him. You’re sick Toby you’re not going. Skype with him.” She said
I groaned and threw up again.
“What am I sick with?” I asked
She walked over and felt my forehead.
“No fever.” She said
I whined and brushed my teeth and went to my room and laid down.
“I’ll wake you up so you can eat.” She said
I nodded and pulled the blanket up to my shoulders.
“October get up. You’re man is calling your skype.” I heard
I opened my eyes and Ray was sitting on my bed holding my laptop. I sat up and took it from her, I accepted the call.
“You let me sleep until today?” I asked
“I couldn’t wake you up.” She smiled
“Morning baby.” I heard Vic say
“Happy Birthday!” I said
He smiled.
“I was going to come visit you but ray said I wasn’t allowed.” I said
Vic looked over at Ray who was laying her head on my shoulder.
“She was throwing her guys up Vicky.” Ray pouted
“Good thing you didn’t come. You need to get better.” Vic said
“Ray take my laptop.” I said
She did and I got out of bed and raced to the bathroom to throw my guts up some more. I threw up everything and did some nasty ass dry heaving. I walked back into the bedroom and Ray handed me my laptop and walked out of the room.
“Are you sure you’re feeling okay?” Vic asked me
“Yeah. “I smiled
“Okay, I believe you.” He smiled
“How’s your birthday?” I asked
“Well I haven’t done anything yet the guys are taking me out for some shots later but, I wanted to call you and see how you were doing with so much girl time.” He said
“I’m doing good, we’re having fun.” I said
He smiled
“Okay well I have some eh unpleasant news.” He said
“Unpleasant for whom?” I asked
“All of us.” He said
“What is it?” I asked
“Our tour got extended.” He said
“That’s good though, you guys like to tour.” I said
“We do but we all, well the majority of us have girlfriends and I’m getting married to you soon.” He said
“Yeah. Well what month are you coming home?” I asked
“June.” He sighed
“That’s a month before the wedding.” I said bug eyed
“I know, which means the wedding plans are going to have to be done by a professional and you or you and I over Skype. The guys and I will get our tuxes after we come home, it will all work out okay?” He asked
I nodded and smiled.
“Is that Tober?” I heard Mike ask
“Yeah do you want to say hi?” Vic asked
“I need to ask her something. Move lover boy.” Mike said
I smiled.
“Hi Mikey.” I said
“Tober I have a question.” He said
“Yes?” I asked
“Do you have that Abby girls number?” He asked
“Yes does Mikey want it?” I asked
“Please.” He pleaded.
I smiled and gave him her number.
“Here’s your lover boy back.” He said
Mike left the screen and Vic appeared.
“Hi baby.” I said
He smiled and I saw Jaime walk past.
“Babe!” I said loud enough that he turned around.
He did some awkward Dinosaur walk and walked away.
“Well the boys are antsy, so I’m going to head out. Oh our manager said it might get really busy so I might not be able to call you all the time.” He said
I smiled.
“I’m going to call a wedding planner and the girls and I will plan it.” I said
“Okay. Hey October?” He asked
“Yeah?” I asked
“I can’t wait to marry you.” He smiled
I started blushing.
“I can’t wait to be a Fuentes.” I said
He smiled and blew me a kiss, I blew one back.
“I love you.” I said
“I love you too baby.” He said
He hung up and I walked into the living room.
“The boys won’t be home until June.” I said
“Seriously. Tony said the tour was extended but he didn’t say when.” Ray said
I nodded.
It’s the middle April; these months are going slow and fast at the same time.
“Hey Ray where are you?” I called though the house.
“Kitchen.” She said
I walked in there and she was drinking tea.
“How are you feeling barfs a lot?” She asked
“Good, well better.” I said
“Can you lift up your shirt for a minute?” She asked
“Uh? Sure.” I said
I lifted the hem of my shirt.
“You’re getting chubby well more than chubby. October are you sure you’re not pregnant?” She asked
This thought never went through my mind.
“Oh shit.” Ray said
I just stared at her.
“Come.” She said
She dragged me to my room and pushed me into the bathroom, she pulled out a pregnancy test from under the sick and jutted it at me. I automatically took it from her and took it.
“Give me two more.” I said
She nodded and I took two more.
“Hurry up time.” Ray said
I looked at my phone five minutes later.
“They’re done. Ray you look.” I said
She nodded and looked down at the three tests on the bathroom counter.
“October, sweetie. You’re having a baby.” She said
I smiled
“I’m pregnant?” I asked
“Pregnant.” She said
I smiled and hugged her.
“So this is good?” She asked
I nodded.
“You know this means you’re going to have to be pregnant on your wedding.” She said
I shrugged and threw the tests away.
“This is good. I want kids, but is Vic going to be okay with this?” I asked
“No doubt in my mind he wants you to have his babies.” She said
“I’m going to call him.” I said
I dialed his number and waited for him to pick up.
“Hey, this is Vic I’m sorry I can’t answer right now. Leave a message after the beep.” His voicemail rang
“No answer.” I said hanging up.
“Do you want to make a doctor’s appointment to see how far along you are?” She asked
I nodded and she picked up her phone and called in
“They can pull you in now.” She said
I nodded and put flip flops on and we went out to the car. Ronnie and June we shopping right now so I’d have to tell them later tonight.
“Appointment for October Moore.” Ray said at the counter
I wasn’t paying attention because now that I look my stomach is fat.
“This was October.” Ray said
I followed her and we went into a room.
“You must be October.” The lady said
“How’d you guess?” I smiled
“You’re the one that looks pregnant. Lay on this here table and pull up your shirt.” She said
I nodded and did as she asked
“I’m Dr. Owen.” She said
“October Moore and Ray Johnson.” I said
“Best friends?” Dr. Owen asked
I nodded.
“This gel is going to be cold.” The Dr. said
I nodded and she squirted it on my tummy.
“Well you’re about four months along. Do you hear that?” Dr. Owen asked
I listened to the little heartbeat.
“Wait four months?” I asked
“Yep. Guesses are you had sex in January.” She said
“On the first.” I said
“She’s a little big for four months though.” Ray said
The Dr. nodded.
“Well October is quiet small but look here.” She said
We looked at the screen
“What’s that?” I asked
“Your babies.” She said
“Babies?” I asked
“Twins.” She said
“Oh my god Toby you’re have twins!” Ray squealed
“I’m going to go print these out for you.” The dr. said
“How did I not notice me getting this fat?” I asked
“You have been wearing super baggy clothes.” She said
I nodded and smiled at her.
“Here you go.” Dr. Owen said
I looked down at the ultrasound pictures and smiled.
“I’m going to be a mommy.” I said
“Of twins.” Ray smiled
I cleaned off my tummy and Ray and I left the hospital.
“Let’s go get you some maternity dresses because you’re popping out of your shirt.” She said
I pulled my jacket closed and zipped it. we drove to the mall and bought some dresses that I would fit in next month.
“Are you going to go see him?” Ray asked
“I should I mean it would be mean not to tell him until he came home.” I said rubbing my tummy.
“I can’t believe we didn’t notice this. You and your baggy clothes and being depressed.” She said
I smiled and we drove home, when we got there Ronnie and June were home but there were two other cars there. I walked in and Austin Carlile and Alan Ashby were playing video games in my living room. I smiled and Austin looked up.
“Long time no see.” He smiled
I stuck my tongue out and Ray was talking to someone on the phone.
“Okay October the first flight I could get you is for the beginning of next month to the city they will be in.” She said
“That works. I guess this will be a surprise.” I said
“What’s a surprise?” Austin asked
I laughed and set the bag I had in my hands down and unzipped my jacket. I turned to the side and lifted up my shirt.
“Does someone have a bun in the oven?” Alan asked
Austin had a grin on his face.
“Who’s pregnant?” June asked rushing in from the kitchen
I smiled at her
“You’re pregnant? How far along?” She asked
“About four months. I didn’t notice until Ray pointed out how fat I was this morning.” I said
“You’re huge for four months.” Ronnie said smiling
I pulled out the pictures and handed them to her.
“There’re two here.” She said
I nodded.
“You’re having twins?” June asked
I nodded.
“OH MY GOD YOU’RE HAVING TWINS!!” She screamed jumping up and down.
I laughed and silently hoped that it would be the beginning on next month.
