My World is You

I woke up the next morning in an empty bed, Vic was gone now. I got out of bed and Sam was at my feet ready to go outside when my phone rang. I picked it up and walked downstairs.
“Hello?” I answered
“Hey girl how was last night?” Ray asked
“Wonderful. Yours?” I asked
“Once on the couch, once on the bed, and once in the shower.” She said
I knew she was smiling. I let Sam out and walked back though the living room.
“So do you still have Vic?” She asked
I stopped in my tracks.
“No… But I have a Mike.” I said
“Mike’s there but not Vic?” She asked
“Yeah. Do you still have a Tony around the house?” I asked
“Nope.” She said
“Do you think Ronnie has a Jaime?” I asked
“Nope.” She said
“Mike why are you here?” I asked
“What?” Mike groaned sitting up.
“Why are you here and the rest of the band isn’t?” I asked
He looked up at the clock.
“I’m late!” He yelled
He got up and ran out the door in his boxers, leaving his shoes, pants and shirts laying on my floor.
“Well he’s late for something.” I said
“Jaime just texted me asking if I’d seen him. I told him he was on the way.” Ray said
“When do you guys want to come over?” I asked
“WE can come over later. That is if you cook us something.” Ronnie said in the background
“Am I on speaker phone?” I asked
“Yeah.” Ray said
“I shall cook you something yummy.” I said
“Yay.” Ray said
“So Ronnie. Did you sleep with Jaime last night?” I asked
Ronnie didn’t say anything.
“The look on her face has Yes written all over it.” Ray said
“Spill.” I said
“When we get to your house I’ll tell.” Ronnie said
“I guess I better start cooking.” I said
“We’re on our way.” Ray said
What was I going to make them? I looked through the fridge and decided on just cooking cheesy potatoes that I premade the other night. I pulled them out of the fridge and put them in a glass pan and preheated the oven and put them in. About twenty minutes later I pulled the potatoes out.
“Honey we’re home!” Ray announced as she entered
“Kitchen.” I said
I let Sam inside and refilled his water bowl
“What smells wonderful?” Ray asked
“Cheesy Potatoes.” I said
Ronnie smiled.
I dished out the food and we went into the living room and started eating. Sam trotted in and laid on the floor.
“So spill.” Ray said
“While you two are eating?” She asked
“It doesn’t bother us.” I said
“Okay well we did sort of go at it like you and Tony did Ray. But it was in bed.” She said
“Was this your first time with him?” I asked
“Yes.” She said
She started blushing.
“At least you remember it. Ray was so drunk when she slept with Tony which was awkwardly the first night they met.” I said
Ray smiled.
“I always knew you were a slut Ray.” Ronnie smiled
“Thank you, thank you very much my lady.” Ray said
I laughed and my phone started ringing again.
“Hey.” I answered
“Are you home?” june asked
“Yeah with Ronnie and Ray.” I said
“Can I come over?” She asked
“You sound panicked.” I said
“I’m coming over.” She said
“Alan take me to Vic’s.” She said
I hung up.
“June on her way.” I said
“Yay.” Ronnie said
I smiled
“I’m glad you two get along with her, she’s kind of an outcast in our real family.” I said
They both smiled and there was a knock at the door.
“Come in June bug!” I shouted
The door opened but it wasn’t June that came in, it was Lindsay.
“Get out of my house.” I said
“Technically this isn’t your house.” She said
“Technically my name is on the papers.” I said
She just stared at me, I stood up and pulled her outside.
“What are you doing here?” I asked
“I’m here to talk to you about what happened with Vic and I.” She said
“That would be?” I asked
“I was just testing him.” She said
“Don’t give me that bullshit.” I said
“You don’t believe me?” She asked
“No.” I said
“October!” I heard someone yell.
I looked up and June was running towards us.
“June go inside I’ll be in there in a minute.” I said
She nodded and ran inside
“So you live here now?” She asked
“Yeah. What’s it to you?” I asked
“I thought you two weren’t going to move in with each other until you were engaged?” She asked
“We are.” I said
“Good for you.” She smiled
“Look Lindsay.” I said
“No. Look October I’m not saying that we are ever going to be friends like we used to be but I still want to be friends, be in the loop.” She said
“I’ll think about it. Wait. If you didn’t know I lived here why did you come here?” I asked
“I was looking for you.” She said
“Go home.” I said
She nodded and left. I turned and walked back inside.
“What did she want?” Ray asked
“To tell me she still wanted to be friends.” I said
Ray nodded and I turned to June.
“Why are you panicked?” I asked
“I’m nervous.” She said
“Why?” I asked
“Alan, he wants me to live with him.” She said
“Then live with him.” I said
“Not why I’m nervous. Mom. Mom got in his face and told him to stay away from me.” She said
“What did Alan say?” I asked
“He didn’t say anything. That’s why I’m nervous.” She said
I hugged my sister and told her I’d talk to Alan. The four of us sat down and watched movies all day.
