Curtains Close; Take a bow. I think we fooled all of them now.
Chapter 81 - Sold Out The Love She Had
Oli's POV
"Baby." I whispered, stroking her side. "Look at them."
I gestured in front of us. We were sat in the living room, spread across the sofa. She had her legs on my lap and was reading a novel by Jane Austen. Anthony was laid on the ground, resting his head on his elbows and playing with Hanley. Sienna was sat next to Anthony and using her hands to try and find Hanley.
"Hanley." She whispered. Both Rain and I watched her and listened.
"Yes, Sienna?" He smiled, reaching out and grabbing her hand.
"What do I look like?" She quietly shook her head at him.
Both Rain and I sat forward, saddened by her question. We loved her dearly, and we knew that it was going to be difficult for her to cope with the lack of vision. We were specifically interested in Hanleys answer.
"You're beautiful Sienna. The prettiest girl I have ever seen!" He giggled.
She smiled, but didn't seem so convinced. My heart dropped for her. Because she would never know what she looked like. To herself, or anyone. How can you be confident in yourself if you don't even know what you look like?
Hanley's grin lowered. He saw her hesitation and tried harder to make her feel better. "I don't think beautiful really explains you Sienna. You have these amazing blue eyes. And your hair is such a pretty shade of brown too." His voice stuttered as he tried to explain her. "But what is special about you Sienna, is that you don't ever believe me when I try to explain the prettiest things to look at!" He laughed again, and this time, Sienna laughed with him, looking more confident in herself.
Anthony rolled onto his side and lifted her up, sitting her on his stomach and holding onto her tiny hands.
"Uncle Anthony?" She asked, listening carefully to his breathing pattern and feeling his hands.
"That's me!" He laughed, tickling her in the stomach and kissing her forehead. "Hanley is right about you, sweetheart." He admired her for a second. "You're the most gorgeous girl I have ever laid eyes on!"
Her cheeks went red with embarrassment. "Thank you." She sweetly whispered.
I lifted Rains legs off my lap and took Hanley's hand. I lead him out of the living room and to the bottom of the stairs where everyone else couldn't hear us.
"Hanley. Now that your sister is getting older, you need to look after her more and more. Because she will never know what anyone or anything looks like. Not even herself. And me and your mum are really worried about her... Because she will start to question everything. And she always seems to ask you." I told him, patting him on the shoulder.
He starred up at me with curious eyes. "She will be fine, dad. I promise. She is only little, and the world seems like a big place when you are little. I want her to ask me all of her questions. Because I love explaining things to her."
We both walked back into the living room. Sienna had climbed up onto Rain's lap and was cuddling her around her waist. Anthony was sat up on the floor still, and Hanley instantly piled into him, tickling him and messing around with him.
Sienna grabbed Rain's wrist and held her hand. But as her hand slid down her wrist, Sienna stopped smiling.
"Mommy." She whispered.
Rain instantly snapped away her hand and guiltily looked at her. She looked furiously at Sienna.
"Mommy..." She repeated. "Why are there lines on your wrist?"
