Austin's POV:

"You fucking did what?" I asked hysterically. I mean, I know I said I'd kill him but I'd never actually do it and then she blurted that out, no wonder she didn't want to tell me.

"You heard me Austin," she grunted. She stood up and picked her clothing up with her before exiting the room leaving me alone baffled. She walked back in fully clothed only moments later but didn't look up from the ground,"I understand if you want to leave. I mean I did say if I told you you'd run.." she trailed off still staring into oblivion. I shook my head only to realise she wasn't looking to notice.

"I also said I wouldn't get scared off by you Lans," I tried to stay calm not allowing my voice to stutter and crack. She looked up obviously scared to see how I'd reacted. I stood up from the bed and pulled my jeans back on and walked over to her. I embraced her tightly into my arms, she didn't hug back but that was fine I just wanted her to feel better. I pulled her along with me to the bed as we laid down next to each other. "You don't have to tell me anything else okay?" I felt her head nod up against my chest and I closed my eyes as we drifted off into a peaceful sleep clinging onto each other for dear life.

Leilani's POV:

I'd awoken from my blackout what felt like only seconds later but had really been hours. Cole was nowhere to be seen and I was no longer tied to the bed. I stood up from the bed and dragged the curtains back to reveal daylight.

"Good morning sunshine!" it was him. I turned and narrowed my eyes at him warning him to back off.

"Stay the fuck away from me you sick, perverted fuck!" I spat. He practically jumped at me after that raising his arm back above his head and struck it down across my face causing me to stumble backwards into the window I was standing at. The smash of the glass around me filled the house and my Mum came running to the room.

"Leilani you really need to stop being so clumsy," Cole reprimanded and looked back at my Mum and she simply agreed with him. I knew she was just turning a blind eye to what was happening because she'd rather it happen to me than her. I picked myself up from the glass since no one else cared to help and pulled the shards from my arms and legs and ran to the bathroom to stop the bleeding.

"I don't understand why you try to beat me Lei, you never will," he snickered from behind me.

"Don't call me that," I spat. He pulled my hair tight, thrusting my head back to look at him.

"I'll call you whatever the fuck I want to. You understand that you pathetic slut!" I whimpered away and he let go as he heard a knock at the door and went to answer it. Whoever was at the door was invited in and they came straight to me.

"Lani what the fuck happened?" it was Rhys, my boyfriend, he had no idea about the things Cole did to me I told him all the scars and cuts were from self harm.

"I slipped on some clothes on my floor and fell through the window," I cried out.

"Fuck off Lani that is so unlikely," he was worried.

"No it's not you little brat!" it was Cole again and Rhys turned to face him.

"You did this? You've been doing all of this haven't you?" Rhys demanded but before I could tell Rhys to keep his mouth shut Cole pulled his arm out from behind his back and thrust a large chunk of glass from the broken window right into Rhys abdomen. I ran to his side falling to the floor and pulled him into my arms, sobbing violently over his dying body.

"No, no, no, no! You bastard!" I yelled. Cole grabbed me by the hair and dragged me along the floor and threw me into my room. I sobbed knowing that one day it would be me laying lifeless somewhere in this house.

"You stay in here until I clean up the mess. You started this Leilani, you did!" he slammed the door as he walked away.

"You will never hurt me again," I whispered to myself like I was making a promise. I cried until I passed out from blood loss and exhaustion.

I sat up pulling away from the tight grasp I was in screaming as the memories of the nightmare ran through my mind. I felt large arms wrap around me trying to calm me but I could only resist. I threw my elbow back into whoever's arms were wrapped around me and I heard them gasp for air as they let go. I jumped out of the bed and turned to see Austin holding at his stomach where my elbow made impact. I threw my hands over my mouth surprised. We must have fallen asleep after I told him what I did.

"I'm so sorry! I wasn't aware it was you Austin, I just woke up from my nightmare and freaked out when someone touched me! I'm so sorry," I rattled off the words.

"It's, it's okay Lans," he shook his hands to stop me from apologising. "Same nightmare?" I shook my head.

"No it was different this time," I wailed.
