You can't just turn back time

Mike's P.O.V.

My house is right next to Tony's so instead of going home I went to his. I knocked on the door a few times before Mrs.Perry actually answered.

"Hey, Mike! How you doing? You here to see Tony?" She asked. I smiled.

"Yea, can I come in?" I asked.

"Yes, of coarse. But Tony came home crying. Do you know if he's alright?" She asked again. I frowned & wondered if it was because of what I said...

"Um, no...I don't know what's been going on with him." I answered. She let me in & I went upstairs, opening Tony's door.

"Tony, let's just talk..." I spoke, closing the door behind me. Tony was laying on his bed, drenched in tears.

"There's nothing to talk about..." Tony mumbled. I walked over to his bed & layed down with him.

"Tony, please...I'm sorry for letting that slip out...I guess I've just been hanging around the Cool Cat's too much.." I spoke.

"Mike...it's not only that. Let's not forget that you've left me three times already. And...you haven't been here for me lately...you don't even know what's been going on.." Tony spoke, letting a few more tears roll down his cheek. He looked me straight in the eyes. I could just feel his pain.

"What's been happening? What do you mean I'm not there?" I asked.

"Well let's see. The first time you left me at lunch someone threw a cupcake at me & I was humiliated at lunch. Then today, you left me alone the whole day, I got food all over me again, smacked some kid across the face & got the shit beaten out of me at lunch while everyone laughed & stayed in the bathroom stalls the rest of the day. Oh yea, I also got my hat stolen! Isn't that dandy?!" Tony yelled sarcastically. I felt a rush of guilt go through me. I'm the worst friend out there.

"Tony, I'm sorry...I didn't know.."

"Yea, because you were too busy changing everything about yourself to fit in!" Tony yelled again. He was crying even more. I wasn't gonna give up just yet. I shut him up with a hug.

"I love you, Tony. I'm sorry I've been such a terrible friend, I promise I'll make it up to you..." I whispered. I felt relieved when Tony hugged me back. We pulled away for a second & just stared into each others eyes. I don't know what it was, but seeing how sad he was, I only did one thing. It was weird too. I don't know why I did it but I kissed him.

Tony didn't kiss back & so I stopped feeling embarrassed & immediately regretting what I did.

"I'm sorry, I-I-I just, I don't know why I did that, Tony I'm not gay,I swear it ju-" My rambling was cut off by Tony's lips on mine. I was so shocked. I didn't know why this was happening or why I let it keep going, I just did. I let our lips move together & after a while I came to realization that I was kissing a guy.....Tony...What am I doing? I pulled away not even realizing how much I was enjoying it.

"Fuck. I..why did you kiss me back?" I asked. My head was spinning with questions. I don't even know why I kissed him. What's going on with me? He's not even...I'm not...We're not even gay!

"Why did you kiss me first?" Tony asked. I looked at him, his face was red. I don't know how to answer his question. I don't even know why.

"Did you like it?..." Tony asked. I felt myself blush. This is weird.

"Uh..y-yea...just..I didn't mean to kiss you, I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me...We won't tell anyone about this, right?" I asked. I felt all weird & embarrassed now.

"Yea..." Tony spoke.

"Alright...I'm just gonna leave...um..we're cool now, right?" I asked. Tony nodded his head. I opened the door.

"Um, Mike.."

"Yea?" I replied, stopping & turning back

"When you figure out why you kissed me...tell me, okay?" Tony spoke. I felt my whole face turn red & nodded quickly making my way out of his room. I rushed downstairs & ran back to my house feeling more confused than I'd ever been.
