The past never changes

*MEL'S POV*


I'm sitting next to Vic on the couch and Kathy is looking through the movies for something to watch.
A few minutes later I heard a knock on the door, it must be the guys, I got up and walked to the door and opened it.

It was my mom and dad, what the hell are they doing here?.
"what are you doing here?" I asked looking at my dad,
"I thought that you might wanna spend the weekend together considering its easter"
He said as quiet as a mouse, that didn't stop my rage from taking over,
"So you thought you could just come back expecting me to act like everything is fine when you left me because of that fucking drug dealer of yours, wow what a father you
are!" I yelled, I knew i was being mean, but he deserved it, he did damn drugs and let that asshole rape me, what kind of father does that?.
"Honey I know that I've screwed up, but I just want to be a family again, I want to fix what I have done and be your father again" he said standing there,
"You have no rights to be my father, you could have picked me or the drugs and you made your choice, now fuck off" I slammed the door closed, I fell to the floor and started crying, Vic ran over to me and picked me up bridal style, I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in his shirt sobbing.

He took me upstairs and layed me down on my bed, he crawled in next to me and held me. "I'm sorry Vic" I sobbed into his shirt, "Mel, you have nothing to be sorry about, your dad is an asshole" he whispered brushing his hand through my hair.
"Vic" I said looking up at him, "yeah babe?" He asked pulling hair out of my face,
"I love you" I said looking into his shiny brown eyes, he is the only one that could save me from my worst nightmares, he was the one.
"I love you too" he said kissing me on my forehead.

We layed their for the longest time.
My eyes were getting heavier and I was almost asleep when I heard "will you come with me to my parents tomorrow?" Vic whispered, and without thinking I said "mmhmm" falling asleep.


*VIC'S POV*


i sat there until Mel was completely asleep.
I got up and went downstairs to meet Kathy and Mel's mom and dad sitting down in the living room.

Mel's dad noticed me and stood up I looked at him disgusted, how could somebody choose drugs instead of their own daughter.
He walked up to me and put a hand on my shoulder,
"I know what i have done is wrong, I will never forgive myself for what I've let happened, but I'm clean now, and I love her, tell her she is always welcome to call me,i doubt she will though" he said with sorrow in his eyes,
"Please take care of her" he said pulling his arm off of my shoulder, he walked out of the house with Mel's mom following behind.

i walked over to the couch and sat down. I looked at Kathy sitting across from me,
"Is he really trying?" I asked her, "I think this time he is, melony's family is broken, and its been really hard for her, but ever sense she met you she has been doing so much better, your good for her" she said with a small smile.
Was she right? Am I good for Mel?, questions ran through my head.
Kathy interrupted my thoughts and said "should we tell the guys not to come?"
She asked,"nah, it will be good for Mel to have some friends to support her" I said laying back into the couch.
