The past never changes

When we got to the hospital Mrs. Mathers checked us in.
Melony was in immediate surgery so we had to sit and wait.
I could wait for her a thousand years just to see those beautiful blue eyes staring at mine.

After about five or six hour a doctor came walking out calling for Mrs. mathers. she had been asleep for about thirty minutes so I decided it was best she got some rest.
I stood up "I'm here waiting with her" I said walking towards the doctor.
"And who are you?" He asked shaking my hand.
"I'm Melony's boyfriend, sir" I said awkwardly.
"alright, I'm gonna need your full name to confirm a visiting pass" he said writing on a
Clipboard he had been holding.
"Oh right, Victor Vincent Fuentes" I told him.
"Okay here is your pass, if anyone asks you anything just show them this pass"
He said handing me a piece of paper. "Thank you sir" I said putting the piece of paper in my pocket.
"ok now if you'll just follow me I'll be glad to show you to her room"
I nodded and followed him past a set of doors.

After a few turns we were approaching a door.
"Here we are, miss Melony mathers" he said reading the door.
"Now before you go in be aware that she doesn't need to be stressed out more than she already is" he said looking at me.
"Yes sir, I understand" I told him.

I opened the doors to Mel's room I walked in, she was just sitting up in her bed crying. "Mel" I said softly walking towards a seat next to her bed.
"Vic, I'm so sorry" she cried cupping her head in her hands.
"Babe, you have absolutely nothing to be sorry for" I said grabbing her hand.
"Yes I do Vic, all I ever do is let people too close and then ruin their lives, and I just can't stand seeing you like that, Vic I love you" she said crying even more.
"Melony, from the first time I met you I knew that I wanted to know you" I said grabbing her other hand, I checked the wall clock it was almost 1 AM,
"I've only known you three days and I haven't regretted a second, Mel I know its so soon, but I love you, I want to help you get through your problems, I want to know everything about you good and bad" I said starting to cry,
"Please Melony, let me help you"I said looking into her said blue eyes.
"OK" she whispered pulling me into a hug.

"But before we go any further there is something I have to tell you"
She said nervously.

"Ok babe, you can tell me anything. It won't change anything, I swear"
I told her rubbing her back. Nothing will ever change the way I feel about her.
