When I met him....

I woke up in a car, I sat up remembering the situation I was in before I blacked out,
Jack had kidnapped me.

my hands and feet were tied up so I couldn't move much, I managed to get to the front, I looked out of the window, we were at a gas station, he must be inside paying for the gas, how stupid.

I unlocked the door and opened it, the car alarm went off, fuck how could I not think about that?, I quickly jumped out of the car "Please! Help me, I've been kidnapped!" I screamed running towards the store.

Jack ran out darting towards me, "Not so fast" somebody said behind him,
The man behind him had a gun pointed to his head, "now you better sit your damn ass on the ground before I blow your fucking head off" the tall man said causing jack to fall to his knees, "honey go inside, the lady at the cash register will help clean you up" the aged man said pulling the rope off of my hands and feet.

I ran inside and the lady took me to the back, she let me use a little shower to get cleaned, I looked like a train wreck.

I got finished showering , she had left me some sweat pants and a baggy t-shirt,
I put them on and entered the lounge they had in the back of the little service station connected to the gas station.

The lady noticed me and stood up, "hey there, are you hungry?" She asked giving me
a warm and welcoming smile, "where's jack?" I asked my anxiety trying to get the best of me, "they took that wretched man downtown, they said they would let you get rested before asking you any questions, the said that people had been on a search for you in California and that people you knew were on they're way" she explained,

"where am I?" I asked feeling the confused look now on my face,
"you're at a service station in Phoenix Arizona dear" she said walking over to a fridge,
I stood there in shock, he must have driven most of the night.

"Would you like something to drink?" She asked looking up at me,
"Do you have any water?" I asked calming down, "yes I do" she said standing up handing me a bottle of water, "thank you" I said grabbing the bottle of water,
"Your very welcome" the lady said sitting down on one of the couches.

"Make yourself at home, when we close up shop you can come home with us and wait for your friends to pick you up" she said taking a sip of her coffee,
I sat down.

We ended up talking about who I was and how I ended up here, and then just stuff that came to mind.

At about five o clock the man that had saved me came into the back,
"Hi there, the store is closed so you can come home with us and have some dinner"
He said in a cheerful tone, "thank you for saving me" I said standing up,
He give me a smile "your welcome darling, how are you feeling?" ,
I stood there for a minute asking myself how I felt, "I'm feeling much better now, thanks for asking" I said smiling, I owed these people my life.
