We're All Crooked Young

The sun was fully gone and we walked to the restaurant. It was fancy and I saw Austin wrap his arm around Cass lovingly and I smiled . As we all walked and sat in a booth , I scanned my surroundings.



White and gold draping everything.


Small bowl candles in the middle of the booth giving off a sweet peach smell. Oliver sat by me on one side , and Austin and Cass sat in front of us .


The waitress approached us and took our orders. "I'll have a ceasar salad with blue cheese and light vinegar. . "

"I'll have a steak with the garlic mash potatoes. ."


"I'll have the veggie burger with the fried mango slices "

"I'll have the lobster with the pasta and hash rice "

As she took down our orders , she gave us a smile and left. "So what's been going on Arl..? We have much to catch up on !" Cass uttered excitedly. I smiled wide and I twirled a piece of hair between my fingers.


"Well , I start modeling again. Uh.. I'm slowly but surely overcoming my ED , Ricky has turned me into a hard core punk rock chick.. " I teased and they all laughed. Just the mention of Ricky , kinda hurt. I mean we've had a few arguments but couples argue right?


"How's Ricky anyways. . Is HE treating you right ??" She questioned looking at Oliver sternly. She doesn't like Oliver since everything went down . I saw him physically stiffen at her sharp words.



"Well... uh... We're okay. . Just a argument here and there. ." I trailed off and I saw Oliver shoot me a small sympathetic gaze. Just as Cass was about to say something , the waitress came back with our food.


Every one soon dug in and as we talked about good old times , I could feel Oliver's gaze on me . Austin picked up a piece of his steak and slid it inside of Cass mouth. They both giggled and I smiled.


"You guys are so adorable , I swear! " I teased playfully and they both smiled. "Thanks Arl" Austin cooed . I looked over and saw Oliver picking around his food as he nibbled on his veggie burger. His mango slices look amazing.


"Oli..?" I whispered and his gaze shot from his plate to me . He hummed in response and gave a soft smile. "Can I have a mango slice please?" I questioned and his eyes grew bright with happiness.



"Sure Arlet " he cooed sweetly. I went to grab one , when he picked it up with his fork and held it up between our faces.



"Oh .. I -" I uttered by he gave a knowing glance. I hesitantly opened my mouth and his gaze met my lips as he slowly slid it in . The sweet taste of the mango filled my mouth and I smiled in delight.


His gaze didn't leave my lips , instead his raised his thumb and wiped the corner of my mouth that had some mango juice on it . My face burned red and I quickly turned to look at Cass.



"Thanks Oli" I whispered and he smiled. "No problem, love" he cooed as he ate his food with a smile. "Now who's being all adorable? " Austin teased playfully making me blush more. As we all finished our food , we all got up and walked to the movie theater. It was chilly and I grabbed myself for warmth .




Soon I felt arms around me and I flinched before looking back and seeing those golden brown eyes staring back at me. "Sorry. . I saw you shivering so I just. . Uh.. sorry" he whispered apologetically before letting go. "It's okay , I know you were just trying to be a good friend. " I whispered and I saw his shoulders slump in disappointment.


"Uhhh.. yea sure. Any time" he whispered apologetically and we walked up to the ticket booth and quickly got our tickets and entered the dark theater.



Cass and Austin sat two rows in front of us and Oliver sat right beside me . I couldn't help but feel the haze of deja vu . I quickly brushed it off as the movie started.




As the movie went on , I kept smelling Oliver's amazing scent and I stole glances at him , only for him to look back at me . "You look so beautiful tonight BerryArry .. uh.. I mean you look beautiful always but uh... " he rambled and I giggled before silencing him with a finger to his soft lips.



"Thanks Oli. You look pretty amazing as well " I whispered and I saw the blush cover his cheeks . "Thanks" he cooed . As the movie ended we all got up and left. We didn't really pay attention to the movie due to us talking the whole time. As we stepped out the theater , it must have gotten colder because I can feel the cold seep into my lungs.


Cass and Austin turned to us with knowing glances. "We have to go. Early show tomorrow , see you guys later?" Austin questioned and we both smiled. "Uh , Yea sure. Bye guys !" I uttered before hugging them both. They went the opposite direction and me and Oli just stood there. I was getting colder by the second and my teeth started chattering.


"Do you want to maybe get hot chocolate? There's this small pub , just up the road that sells it . ?" Oli offered and I nodded frantically. As we walked there I could feel the heat radiating from Oliver. How could he be so hot in this cold weather?



We weren't even close to the pub and I was about to freeze to death. I bit down on my quivering lip and I looked at him.

"O-Oli..." I stuttered and he stopped walking and looked at me . "I-I .. uh.. well .. hmmm... could you maybe. .. uh .. never mind. " I trailed off and he gave a knowing glance before pulling me into a tight warm hug. His body heat was amazing and I hummed in pleasure.


"Thanks Oli." I whispered and he chuckled making his chest rumble. "It's fine .. I knew you were cold .. I just needed permission to hold you" he cooed sweetly and I blushed as we finally reached the pub.


We entered the place to be hit by the sweet aroma of cinnamon and vanilla. I smiled in delight as he guided us to the small two seated table . A old looking male approached us with a merry smile.


" 'Oi Dobbs ! , Give us my usual , yeah? " Oli exclaimed in a hearty tone and the male smiled before disappearing to the kitchen. "I'm guessing you come here a Lot?" I questioned and he gave a soft smile. "Well .. I come when I can. I just love this place. . It's like a small piece of home" he trailed off in a sincere tone.


I hummed in response and soon Dobbs came back with two big coffee cups filled with hot chocolate covered with whipped cream and chocolate and caramel drizzle. I gulped thickly at the drink and looked at Oli.


"Oh .. you don't have to drink it all.. you can just sip on it . Sorry , it's so much. " he uttered apologetically and I bit my lip. "Thanks. . It's just. . Well you know" I whispered and he gave a knowing smile.


In minutes , he downed his whole drink while I only took small sips . He lowered the now empty drink down and I laughed loudly. He had a full whipped cream mustache on his upper lip.



"Nice upper lip hair !" I chuckled and he quickly looked down and wiped it away with the back of his hand. We both burst into laughter and soon got up and left the pub after waving goodbye to dobbs. The cool air didn't bother me that much anymore since the hot chocolate was in my system. We continued to walk until I stopped him.


"Thanks for tonight Oli. I needed it. " I whispered and we both smiled big. He inched closer and was only inches away. "You're welcome. I know you did. .. I'll be happy to do this again sometime." He purred happily and his accent was thick in his words making me blush.




"Well I'd love to d-" I uttered before being caught off by his soft lips on mine.
