Blackness

Call me When You're Sane

It's almost been one whole year since Tony first asked me to be his girlfriend.

and to be completely honest with you- it's been nothing but bliss.

I'm accepted by Tony's family, and it makes me happy.

I have almost gave up cutting all together.

I'm eating like a healthy person should, after I decided to seek help for myself.

but, something has to happen along these lines,

when everything finally starts to come together,

it falls apart again.

It always does.

"Hey Ms. I like to kick in my sleep." I laughed as Tony greeted me as I cooked breakfast.

"I can't help what I do in my sleep." I chuckled.

"I'm starting to think you're no longer asleep when you do it." He said as he scanned the stove top.

"You'll never know the truth." I winked, as I finished setting up the table.

He only laughed and grabbed my face, placing a small peck on my lips.

Mrs. Perry walked into the kitchen and gasped "You made breakfast!"

I laughed "Yeah, I tried."

"It looks, and smells, great!" She beamed at me.

After breakfast we heard a knock at the door,

"I'll get it!" I threw down my fork and raced for the door.

I opened the door, not expecting what stood on the other side.

Mike & Vic.

My face dropped, my brows furrowed.

I tried to slam the door in their faces, but Mike stopped it with his hand.

"We need to talk." Vic said sternly.

"I have nothing to say to you." I answered rudely.

"Babe who's at the door?" Tony said before he realised who it was.

"Get off my property, or I'll seriously call the cops." Tony raised his voice, which kind of frightened me.

"Now come on Lys you can't let him do that to us!" Mike argued.

"Don't do that to me Mike." I said blankly.

"Do what?!"

"Act like you care what I think,"

"Lys, we do care." Vic said.

"Okay, I call bullshit!" Tony said raising his hand.

"Tone, go with your mother, I got this." I shooed him off.

He walked into the kitchen, leaving me and my cousins alone.

"Listen, Lys-"

"Don't call me that." I folded my arms over my chest.

"Whatever, please forgive us." Vic begged.

"We feel terrible about what we did, and it's haunting us." Mike added, his voice filled with fake regret.

I could practically smell the lies radiating off of them.

"No plea, apology, or bribe of yours could ever be a repayment of what you put me through." I, for the second time, tried to slam the door in their faces.

I failed again.

This time Mike stopped the door with his foot.

I was done with them, and I'd want them to be sure I meant it.

"Listen here, and listen good. I don't want to be a part of your pathetic life. No matter how much you beg me, cry to me, or even threaten me! So please, stop turning the air I actually like to breathe in, poisoning, and just go!" I screamed, scaring myself, more than I was scaring them..

I think.

"We're just trying to be loyal and loving towards you, and this is what we get?!"

"Oh please! Try unreliable and suffocating." I answered, about ready to loose it (more than I already have, of course.)

Mike's eyes shrank into tiny slits, as he peered down at me.

"You're going to regret ever saying no to us." He said, trying to sound intimidating.

It didn't work.

"As long as you can live with yourself, doing whatever you plan to do to me, do it."

Slam.

Door locked.

Out of sight, out of mind.

I hadn't been scared of them my whole life, no way was I going to let them start to scare me now.
