It never ends

The bitter cold bit my cheeks roughly as i treaded through the snow. It was now snowing harder and each minute an inch was added to the ground. My Fingers were burning and i could barely feel my nose.

Each step was harder and all the while i was frustrated, not really at oliver but myself. I tried giving the benefit of the doubt. My conscious was screaming at me to no listen but i did and now look where i am. Walking through 5 inches of snow.

everything was covered white and i saw glimpses of people running into building for shelters. I could easily slip into a nearby building but i was probably gonna stay there until the next day.

Couple minutes later i approached my familiar tall and wide building. I pried the frozen doors open and steppe inside letting the warm air blanket me. I took a deep breath and looked outside. It looked like someone tapped a white paper to the window. It was a blizzard.

The lobby wasn't empty there were a few people, i know they were probably staring at the girl who's covered in little flurries. Why didn't she just take her car?

Why didn't i.

I pressed the elevator button and got in. It was slightly colder but not comparable to outside. As the doors seperated i heard a speaker yell. People peering out their dorm doors to hear.


Attention students, Due to The Blizzard the roads have been closed off and classes have been canceled. Please Stay inside and keep warm. Thank you

All the students in the hall smiled and started cheering. I just smiled and tried making my way to the end of the hall where my room was. I took my key out and opened my door. I wasn't alone as scarlett, celeste, austin, Vic and kellin were all in the living room Talking and laughing. Scarlett looked at me and her jaw dropped, she got up and rushed over to me.

"Oh my god skyler are you okay?"

"Course not, she looked like a popsicle" Celeste said and laughed,i ignored her and tried getting past scarlett, she wasn't having it.

She dusted some snow off my jacket.

"You look terrible. What happened?"

"Nothing, can i just get to the room" I probably did look like a mess. I didn't really care.

"Fine, come out when you're done" She said moving out the way. I half smiled and began walking to my room.

i was in the middle of the hallway when i ran into something, well someone as i picked up my head and saw feet. It was Oliver. He looked at me confused. I rolled my eyes and tried getting past him but he moved in front of me.

"can you move" i asked annoyed

"No, where were you?"

"I told you to get me at 3"

"I was there, were the hell were you!?" was he really trying to argue with me about this.

"Waiting" I pushed past him into my room and tried closing the door but he blocked me by his hand.

"At what time?" he asked.

I then realized i asked him to pick me up at 3, i was out by 4. I was wrong, but i wasn't admitting it.

"It doesn't matter, i had to walk in the blizzard" I went into my room and took off my coat.

"You didn't call me" Oliver said sitting on my bed.

"I don't have your number"

"And who's fault is that" I hated how he made sense, even though i didn't really want him too. He knew he was right and that annoyed me even more.


"Okay Oliver, doesn't matter now. Can you leave so i can change" I said walking in front of the mirror.

Oliver smiled and shook his head.

"What you're wearing is fine" He said getting up and walking behind me.

i guess what i am wearing was fine, but the snow was melting.

I smiled as i reached up to untie my pony tail, i felt a tug at my waist. Oliver rested his chin on my shoulder.

He took my hand and took the hair band.

"Leave your hair out" Oliver attached his lips to my neck and starting grazing slowly up and down.

His lips were soft and the fact the mirror was right there made it more intimate. His hands tightened around my waist.

Oliver may be annoying, but he was cute and that’s one reason he’s getting away with this.

Did I just admit liking him? Hmm.

I guess I did.

I turned around and before anything olivers lips were on mine. I threaded my fingers through his hair, it was soft.

This all reminded me of that night on the balcony. The first time i kissed him, well he kissed me and I let him. You could even say I liked it.

I may be starting to develop feelings, but in the back of my mind I knew he only wanted one thing. Sex. Right? I mean it’s not like he wasn’t a virgin. A guy as cute as him would attract attention.

That’s why it had to stop.

I backed away. Oliver eyes were dark, almost black.

“what” He breathed

“I- I can’t”

“Why” His voice didn’t sound like a question, he sounded annoyed.

‘” I just can’t”

“That’s a crap explanation. Tell me why”

I didn’t look at him when I spoke. “I don’t really know you”

“You don’t know me or you don’t trust me”

“Yea” A little smile spread across olivers face.

“I take this as a challenge” he said.

I was confused and was about to say something before Oliver leaned into my ear.

“I got this love” He said before pulling away and waking out the bedroom.


I didn’t know what Oliver meant by challenge but he seemed serious and playful and it was intriguing.
I put my hair band on my bed. I decided to leave my hair out oliver said he liked it so I just left it.

I went over to the door and walked out. I could hear everyone from the living room talking and laughing. Vic and Kellin were on the floor talking and laughing. Scarlett was laying on Austins chest talking to Celeste who was all over Oliver. He seemed very uninterested and I found that amusing.
I walked out and the first person that saw me was Vic.

“Hey Skyler” he looked up smiling. Everyone turned around, I was kind of embarrassed,, I don’t like a lot of attention. Celeste glared at me and rolled her eyes. I don’t know what she had against me. I barely said a word to her and she seemed to hate me, I didn’t care, but I want to know why.

“Hey where were you? Come sit” Scarlett asked sitting up and scooting over and patting the seat next to her. I walked over and sat down.

“Yea because we care” Celeste snickered. I ignored her.

“I was just at tryouts” Oliver was staring right through me.

“For what?”

“Volleyball”

A suspicious smile spread across her face. “oh. I know this girl who’s in that maybe you met her , her names Tris. You know her”

“Yea, I met her”

“Be careful around her, she’s a backstabbing bitch”

Celeste laughed. “Scarlett calm down, that was last year” There was a little tension in the air but I had no idea what happened.

“I don’t give a damn” scarlett seemed pissed off.

‘Okay, Hey I have an idea! There’s a festival in town tonight, we should go” Kellin said looking at everybody.

“We should go babe” I heard Austin whisper in scarletts ear. Scarlett giggled and kissed him. They’re a cute couple.

“Uhh have you not noticed there is an avalanche outside, we can’t leave the building, they have it on lockdown.

“aww, it would’ve been fun.” Scarlett frowned then perked back up “I’m thirsty, I’m gonna get a drink, skyler come with me” She said getting up. I got up and followed her to the kitchen.

Scarlett opened the fridge and I heard a conversation going on in the living room. She got a few glasses out and started pouring a clear liquid into each cup. She took one and a sip.

“So what’s going on with you and oliver” she flipped her red hair. Her gaze was so hard it was intimidating.

“Nothing” I said awkwardly.

“Lies, cmon. Oliver didn’t take that long in the bathroom, plus his hair was all messed up” scarlett grinned slyly and took another sip.

“ Oh well I went straight to the bedroom”

“mmhhmm okay, you can lie to yourself but you can’t lie to me” Scarlett balanced the glasses between her fingers and walked into the living room handing them out. Oliver placed his on the ground got up and walked straight over to me leaning against the counter.

“What were you talking about?” he asked. Now that It was in my head olivers hair did look messy, but not the ugly messy, the cute bed head messy.

“Nothing, absolutely nothing, why?”
