It never ends

I woke up the next morning in my bed at the dorm. It felt cold and foreign, unlike sleeping in Oliver’s bed which was comfortably warm and smelt just like him. I felt his body pressed against mine and his arm around me. I turned around so I was facing him.
His expression was blank and his lips were parted slightly .He looked adorable. I traced my thumb along his jaw and up to his hair and gave a slight tug. He groaned before his eyes fluttered open. I could barely see him though; there were no windows and no lamps

“Morning” he whispered pressing his lips against mine.
“Hey” I replied. “Why aren’t we at your place?” Oliver shifted so he was lying on top of me.
“Because you were already sleeping” he trailed his lips along my jaw and then back up to my lips. His kiss was soft and gentle; He didn’t have morning breath either. I would’ve preferred waking up in his bed but I must’ve been very tired if I fell asleep here.
The kiss got deeper and Olivers hand ran up my side. I felt my body respond. I pulled him closer. It would be impossible to describe how much I loved the feeling of his hands on me. They were kind, but at the same time
“Mm skyler” Oliver breathed. “I like waking up to you” his words made me smile.
“You too”
Oliver kissed me again and suddenly the dorm room door swung open and made a loud band on the back wall. I jumped.
“Well damn” Scarlett came into the room
“Fuck” Oliver groaned annoyed, he moved so he was sitting on the edge of the bed. I sat up and saw his expression, I held in my laugh as I saw he was glaring at Scarlett. I knew she saw but chose to ignore him
“I guess I should’ve knocked” she said rummaging through the closet.
I got up out of bed and looked in the mirror; my hair was all messy and tangled.
“But its 12, I thought you two would be up by now” she took an outfit on a hanger and held it up. “Like this?” she held it up so I could see.
I looked it over. It was a simple black one shoulder mini dress, it was cute. I gave her thumbs up and she smiled.


“Great! Hey umm Oliver can you leave for a second” Scarlett said tossing the dress on the bed. Oliver looked up.
“Why?”
“Just get out” Scarlett said crossing her arms. Oliver rolled his eyes and left the room. As soon as the door closed. Scarlett unfolded her arms and stared right at me, with a slight smile tugging at the corners of her lips. She put her elbows on the dresser and leaned on her hands.
“So what’s going on between you two?” Her voice was full of interest.
“Nothing, why?”I lied, and I think she knows it, her eyebrows lowered.
“You’re a terrible liar, seriously though tell me!”
“Nothing, why do you want to know anyway?”
“Because you’re both my friends and I feel it’s my job to know, don’t worry, I can keep a secret” she smiled.
“Then ask him” “
Scarlett groaned fine” Scarlett put her hands up”I will then” she turned around looked me over.
“What?”
“Nothing” Her expression was blank, like she wanted to say something but didn’t. I didn’t think much about that. It left my mind as soon as it happened, and she shouldn’t get upset at me for not sharing personal details of my life with her. Like I said, I’m not gonna think too much about it.


Time flew by very quickly. Celeste had, or course, come over and we had met up with kellin and Vic in the parking lot and stood there talking for I don’t know how long. We probably stood out in the cold for about an hour, but it didn’t even feel like it. I was too busy talking and laughing.
We probably would’ve been out there if Scarlett hadn’t reminded us all about the party.
I rode with Oliver, after having to fight with Celeste for the front seat. She started yelling and I just ignored her and sat down. But instead of riding with Scarlett, she refused. I’m starting to get used to her, but I don’t think I’ll ever like her.

I still don’t fully understand why you’d want to go to an enemy’s party. But I’m in the car already and I can’t just jump out and walk home.

Like the parties I’ve previously attended, the music was blaring and I thought we were early, but obviously not. There were cars along the entire block.

As soon as we walked in I was greeted by a blur of bright red hair, tris, who pulled me to the side and immediately started talking.
“What are you doing here?” she asked moving a piece of hair from her face. She looks like she’s been here a while. I wanted to confront her about the big surprise that I was supposed to watch out for that never happened, but I don’t want to ruin the night.
“I came with scarlett” I answered

“Yea, I thought something was wrong, you didn’t come to practice” what?
“What practice?” I don’t remember anyone telling we had practice.
“Katherine texted everyone today, didn’t you get it.” I took my phone out, no messages.
I shook my head. “No, I got nothing” tris’s smile disappeared, and then quickly came back.
“Well you should talk to her about that then, she’s uh here somewhere” tris put her hand on my shoulder. “Well I’ll see you later” she said walking off into the crowd.
I never got a text for a practice, is something wrong with my phone?
Whatever, not now.
I walked through the crowd, looking for someone familiar when the rooms suddenly stared clearing up. There were still a lot of people, except I could see a few feet in front of me.
Katherine’s house was huge, too many twists and turns and extra rooms. I finally decided to just go back to the main room when I heard a loud burst of laughter coming from a room with all glass windows. A sun room.
In the corner I saw Oliver sitting on the ground next to kellin and Vic. And across the room Katherine sitting in a chair next to some girls I recognize from the volleyball team. The whole room was laughing at something, no one noticed me walking through the people and sitting down next to Oliver.

“Where have you been?” Kellin asked.
“I was pulled away, and then got lost” I felt Oliver grab my hand.
“Lost, really? It’s not that big of a house”
“I know”

“Come on skyler” Celeste said. “Don’t ruin this”
“Fine” I said, people cheered a few seconds before Katherine shushed them.
“Okay okay. Skyler” she started.
“Is it true, you were a virgin before you met Oliver” the room suddenly got quiet, and I felt my heart start thumping. Everyone in the room was staring at me. I couldn’t find any words to say. All I saw was Katherine sitting smiling innocently at me. What was she doing?
“C’mon skyler, answer” The air was getting heavier and I still stood there speechless.
“Nobody told you yet,” I felt Oliver tense next to me and I wanted to ask why.
“What?”
“Oliver didn’t tell you anything, anything about the bet, we all knew about it. Really, it’s gone on this long? Some friend’s right” No, no I felt my cheeks redden and I felt suffocated. Everyone around me start laughing. I need to get out of here.

I couldn’t hear a thing as I got up and left. The house was empty. I felt my nose start to burn and my head start to pound. I feel mortified and completely embarrassed. Why would Katherine do that? What did I ever do to her, she seemed nice. I opened the front door and felt the cold air stinging my face as the tears came down. I couldn’t believe what just happened. Every kiss, every touch, It was all just a lie. And I fell for it. All of it. I feel like an idiot. Everything seemed too perfect to last.
“Skyler, wait” I heard Oliver calling after me, but I didn’t want to see him, I just want to be alone.
I kept hearing him call after me. What doesn’t he understand I don’t want to talk to him right now; I don’t want to talk to anyone.
Suddenly he grabbed my hand and pulled me back so I was facing him. He stood there scrambling for something to say.
“I’m sorry” he finally managed to say.
“Why” I said crossing my arms.
“It’s not that easy-“

“-just tell me!” I yelled interrupting him; my anger got the best of me.
“Fine” sighed before starting to talk.

sorry for the wait, but i've had alot of stuff going on this past week or so. I know the chapters come late, but i don't intend on ever just leaving, the story will be finished. Sooner of later. :)
