There's No Such Thing As Too Young

Twenty Eight

"Please."

"No."

"Please."

"No way."

"Amelia."

"Michael."

"Babe!"

"No!" I exclaimed, pushing past Mike to get into the hallway.

In an instant I was hauled over his shoulder and I squealed in fright, gripping onto his shirt.

"Please, Millie! I've already told Mom that we'll go round!" Mike begged, holding onto my legs.

"I don't want to!"

Mike recieved a call from Vivian earlier today, asking if we would go to dinner tonight as we wouldn't see them on christmas day and she wanted to spend time with just Mike and I, because Vic is going to stay the night at theirs on christmas eve.

"Is the perfect couple having their first fight?" Jaime asked, gasping dramatically as he sat next to Vic and Tony in the living room of the Fuentes house.

"Hush, Jaime. Please, baby! I'll do anything you want if you do this for me! I'll give you the best sex in the world!" Mike said, causing me to blush and smack his back as he talked about our sex life infront of his friends.

"No."

"What's bothering you? Meeting my Dad or eating?" Mike asked, still holding onto my legs as I dangled over his shoulder.

"Eating." I said softly, hoping the guys wouldn't hear.

"Babe." Mike sighed, lifting me up and placing me back on my feet.

I held onto him as the blood rushed back to my head.

Mike has been making me eat a considerable amount of food ever since we've been together and I wasn't used to it.

I was always bloated from not being used to consuming so much food and I had gained Three pounds!

Luckily, I was taking laxatives to wash my system out.

Mike didn't know, and they were very easy to get as work stocked many different brands.

"I'll get you out of eating if you come, I promise you. Please, just do this for me." He begged, holding my face in his hands.

His eyes were wide with his bottom lip jutting out and I knew he wanted me to do this.

I sighed and gave in.

"Yay!" Mike grinned, kissing me deeply.

"What time do we need to leave?" I asked as he pulled away, I ignored the cat calls coming from Tony, Vic and Jaime.

"At about Six, it's half Five now."

"I'll go and change." I told him and he nodded, a triumphant smile plastered on his face.

I rolled my eyes and turned to head upstairs, into Mike's room.

I shut the door behind me.

I was so nervous.

I know I'd met Vivian before, but was she going to act differently in her own home?

What was his Dad like?

Oh god.

I was going to start hyperventalating if I didn't calm down.

I bit my lip as my purse caught my eye.

I couldn't help myself and grabbed it, rifling through the contents until I found what I was looking for.

A box of co-codamol.

I managed to save a few boxes of prescription painkillers after my Grandma died.

I'd been hiding them from Mike as I knew he'd go ape and throw them away.

He'd already hidden anything I could cut myself with, and I actually had to be supervised when shaving my legs.

I fumbled with the box, popping out Six pills.

That should be enough to numb everything for awhile.

I was aware that this was very dangerous, but I used to do this all the time when Grandma was seriously ill and just before I met Mike.

I also knew this wasn't a good idea, as I hadn't eaten all day.

Mike had made me a sandwich earlier, but I had disposed of it when he wasn't around.

I felt awful, but I couldn't stop myself.

I swallowed the pills with the water from the glass on Mike's bedside.

I loved the feeling of not feeling anything and not being aware of what was happening around me.

I heard footsteps approaching the door and I hastily shoved the box back into the bottom of my bag.

Mike opened the door and looked at me sitting on the bed, a confused frown on his face.

"I thought you were getting dressed..." He said, still frowning as he opened his closet looking for a shirt to change into.

"I couldn't decide what to wear." I lied, biting my nails.

"You look fine as you are, you look as beautiful as always." Mike grinned, pulling his shirt off and throwing it in the laundry basket.

I shrugged and decided to keep what I was wearing on.

Mike pulled on a clean, black crewneck with a matching beanie.

He was in all black, which was my favourite look on him.

"Ready?" He asked, holding his hand out for me.

"Yeah." I nodded, grabbing my bag and taking his hand.

I stumbled abit as I stood up and Mike steadied me.

"Are you alright?" He asked, his voice concerned.

"Yeah, I just tripped over my own feet." I denied, suddenly feeling the effects of the strong painkillers.

Mike nodded but something told me that he didn't fully believe the lie I'd just thrown out.

The ride was shorter than I expected.

It was only Twenty minutes or so.

I wasn't really paying attention to the bad rap music that was playing, thank god.

It was awful.

"Don't be nervous, my Mom loves you already and I know Dad will." Mike comforted, helping me out of the car.

The house was decorated with beautiful, twinkling, christmas lights.

I breathed in deepily, holding onto Mike's arm as he guided me upto the wooden porch, that had a basket of beautiful flowers blooming in it.

I loved flowers.

The door opened before Mike could knock, revealing a smiling Vivian who was bouncing with excitement.

"Hello, you Two!" She greeted, taking my hand and pulling me into the house gently.

I heard Mike shut the door behind us, and he rested a hand on my lower back as Vivian hugged him, and he responded with a kiss on the cheek.

Vivian also hugged me, treating me like I was porcelain, similar to how Mike did.

Their house was warm and cosy, I could picture Vic and Mike creating chaos here as they grew up.

There was a sweet smell in the air and I assumed Vivian had been cooking delicious treats upon our visit.

"Victor! The kids are here!" She yelled, clapping her hands.

Mike placed his hands on my hips from behind, rubbing soothing circles to calm me.

I heard footsteps approach us, and a man, who looked super mexican was soon stood before me.

I could definately see Mike and Vic in him.

"Hello, you're the famous Millie then?" He chuckled, holding his hand out for me.

I giggled quietly, taking his hand and shaking it politely.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, your home is very beautiful."

"Thank you, love. Let's all take a seat in the living room, and chat properly." Victor grinned, taking Vivians hand and leading her away.

"Well done." Mike whispered in my ear, giving my hips a squeeze.

He lead me to the living room, which was warm from the elegant, wood bruning fire on the feature wall.

Mike's parents took a seat on the sofa opposite us, as we were sat on the Two seater couch, cuddled up closely.

Mike had his arm wrapped around my shoulders, and he pressed a kiss to my forehead.

"Aw!" Vivian exclaimed, making both Mike and I jump.

I blushed crimson and hid my face in Mike's neck.

"Vivian, you're embarassing them." Victor chided, as his wife giggled out an apology.

"They're just so cute together! She's so beautiful and so well spoken, nothing like that Frenchi girl he was with!"

"Mom." Mike sighed, obviously not wanting to talk about his ex-girlfriend.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

"What have you Two kids got planned for christmas day?" Victor wondered.

"Just dinner and quiet time." Mike answered, stroking my cheek with his cold fingertips.

I leaned into his touch, loving the feeling of his skin against mine.

"Are you sure you don't want to spend it here, like Vic? There's plenty of room for you both!" Vivian assured us.

"We're fine, Mom." Mike replied.

Vivian was just about to reply when a beep stopped her.

"Ooh! Dinner's ready! I hope you like mexican food, Millie! Come and help me, Darling!" She gushed, pulling Victor up.

I immediately started panicking when they left the room and I turned to Mike.

Damn, these pills aren't really taking the edge off enough.

"Please, just do your best." He begged, clutching my hands as they shook.

"Mike-" I stated, but was cut off my Vivian calling us through to the kitchen.

We shot me an apologetic look and pulled me up, taking me to the kitchen where my nightmare was awaiting.

The food smelled delcious and spicy.

I was hungry, that was for sure.

But, I couldn't consume so many calories.

Delcious food meant lots of calories.

Mike pulled out a chair for me and sat next to me, brushing my hair from my face.

"You're not vegetarian are you, Millie?" Victor asked, placing a plate infront of me.

"Erm no, I'm not." I gulped, suddenly wishing I was as I stared at the chicken enchilada on the plate.

Mike squeezed my thigh under the table and I pinched his arm discretely, letting him know I was angry at him for breaking his promise.

He audibly sighed, but didn't move from me.

Soon, we were all seated around the table.

"Dig in! I feel like I have a food critic sampling my food." Vivian said, causing everyone to chuckle.

I gulped again as I picked up my fork, gripping it so tightly my knuckles turned white.

I hated eating infront of people.

Mike knew that.

He rubbed my thigh as he ate, encouraging me.

"You have some beautiful rings, Millie. Where did you get them?" Vivian asked, making small talk.

I mentally screamed in thanks, being able to put off eating for a little while longer.

"Mike got me them." I spoke timidly.

She nodded as she listened and smiled proudly at her youngest child.

I'd started cutting up my food, pushing it around my plate as the conversations around the dinner table changed constantly.

I was starting to feel sick.

Not just from taking those pills, but from the hunger too.

"Michael, do you remember that time when I was called to your school because you turned all the desks upside down at breaktime?" Vivian asked, causing Mike to laugh and nod.

"How about when you and Casey used to drive up the freeway at Five miles an hour?" Victor wondered.

I laughed myself, Casey and Mike were a right pair when they were together.

"What do you have planned for next year? It seems like forever since your Dad and I have seen you all play."

"We're not sure yet, we are taking some time off to finish up the album though. I also shouldn't be saying this, but Vic was emailed the other day about playing Warped tour again!" Mike said excitedly, I gasped.

"Really? Why didn't you tell me?" I asked, smiling at him.

"It completely slipped my mind, baby! That's your fault for being so beautiful and distracting." Mike mumbled, rubbing his nose against mine.

He was obviously trying to butter me up.

I blushed again, embarrassed about the PDA infront of his parents.

They didn't seem to care, and it only sent Vivian 'awing' again.

I think they were really happy for Mike.

Finally, dinner was finished and I relaxed.

I was able to eat nothing, and it went unoticed by Mr and Mrs Fuentes.

Mike and I were retreating to the living room after offering to wash the dishes, of course Vivian wasn't having it, when I suddenly felt extremely drowsy and dizzy.

I grabbed onto the wall to support and steady my weak body and Mike noticed, holding onto my waist and arm.

"Millie, whats wrong?" He rushed, I shook my head.

I was trying to focus on reality and distract Mike from thinking there was anything wrong with me.

These tablets had finally taken full effect.

I stood back up straight with Mike still supporting me.

I focused my eyes on him for a few seconds, before the dizziness overpowered me and blackness took over my vunerable frame.

The last thing I remember is falling into Mike's arms as he frantically called my name.
