There's No Such Thing As Too Young

*Mike's POV*

I tapped my fingers against the steering wheel of my Cadillac, taking a puff from the cigarette between my lips.

I was parked outside of Millie's school, waiting for her to come out.

Tony was parked behind me, waiting for Fiona.

They were spending a few hours together, before we left tomorrow.

The passenger door to my car opened, and I smiled at Millie as I tossed the butt out of the window.

"Hi, Baby." I said, leaning over the console to kiss her pouty lips.

I noticed that she winced abit when she sat down, and I frowned.

"Are you okay?" I asked, eyeing her carefully.

"Yeah." She smiled, taking my hand in her own.

I pulled away from the school, and started the drive back to Millie's.

"Have you had a good day?" I wondered, as we stopped at a red light.

"Yeah, the usual." She replied quietly, pulling my fingers.

"Did anything happen?"

"No, what have you done today?" She asked, changing the subject.

That was weird, she was never this edgy with me.

"Vic and I went to see our parents, Mom knows that I have a girlfriend." I told her, biting my lip as I drove through a green light.

"What? Did you say anything?"

"I wouldn't be alive right now if I did, babe!" I laughed, turning into Millie's road.

"Phew." She sighed, relaxing.

We pulled up outside, and got out.

"I'm going to go and shower." Millie said as soon as we got inside, dropping her bag by the door.

"Alright, beautiful." I kissed her forehead and followed her upstairs.

Millie headed off into the bathroom, and I went to the bedroom.

I stripped off my shirt, jeans and shoes.

An idea came to mind when I heard the shower turn on.

I tiptoed to the bathroom, cracking open the door and walking inside.

The mirror had steamed up, and it was very hot inside the small room.

I pushed my boxers to my ankles and prepared to step into the cubicle.

I stepped inside, and stood behind Millie.

I reached my hands out and touched her waist, pulling her nude body against me.

She jumped and screamed, pushing me away in fright.

I burst out laughing, leaning against the wall for support.

"That wasn't funny, get out." Millie pouted, standing as far away as she could, and hiding her body.

"I'm sorry, babygirl!" I chuckled, pulling her to me.

"You're horrible."

"I did-" I paused my sentence, notcing something on the side of her body, just under her boobs.

"What the hell is that?!" I asked, my temper flaring as I inspected the large, purple, angry bruise.

"Nothing, I fell." She denied, pulling her arm away and getting out of the shower.

She'd only been in there for Five minutes, that proves that something's going on.

"Who did that to you, Millie?" I asked, trying to keep calm as I pulled on my boxers.

Millie hurried to pull on my shirt, pulling it over her bare bottom.

"Nobody." She told me, walking out the bathroom.

"Don't lie to me, I want to know who's hurt you." I followed into her bedroom, where she was pulling on some underwear.

"Nobody hurt me! I fell, I've told you!" She cried, tears slipping down her face.

I'd upset her.

"Millie." I sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed and grabbing her waist, pulling her onto my lap.

"Go away." She sniffled, turning away from me.

"I'm sorry I made you cry, but you need to tell me the truth. Can you do that for me? I promise not to get angry." I swore, brushing away her tears with my thumbs.

"I was in the caferteria with Fiona, and this girl started saying stuff, so I tried to leave. But, her friend tripped me and I caught my side on the table." She whimpered, hiding her face in my neck.

"I'm going down to that school." I said, my hands shaking with anger.

How could somebody hurt her like that!

I was fuming inside, nobody was to ever touch her!

"You can't, Mike! Please don't! Everything will get worse! People will find out we're together, and you'll get arrested! Please, Mike!" Millie begged, her fingers digging into my shoulders.

"Okay, okay. Calm down." I hushed her, rocking her in my lap.

She was so delicate and fragile, and I now couldn't bare the thought of leaving her here alone.

I couldn't stand back and watch her get treated like a ragdoll by bullies at school.

"Are you angry with me?" She asked quietly, her fingers brushing away water droplets off my chest.

"Of course not, Baby. I'm just angry with myself, I hate not being able to protect you like I want to." I mumbled, pressing my lips to her wet hair.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be, I just want to enjoy our last night together. I hate that you're in pain though, I wish I could beat the kid to pulp who did this to you." I said through gritted teeth, feeling my temper flare up again.

"Hey, calm down." She said, pushing me onto my back and sitting on my hips.

I looked up at her, relishing the sight.

I reached up to tuck her hair behind her ears, and saw the blush form on her cheeks.

"You're so perfect." I whispered, pulling her down to lay on my chest.

She rested her face against my chest, listening to the steady rhythm of my heartbeat.

"Mike?"

"Yeah, babe?" I replied, brushing my fingers through her chocolate locks.

"Will you forget about me on tour?"

"Of course not! You're my girlfriend! You're making it so hard to leave you, I just want you with me all the time." I explained, heaving a sigh.

"I love you." Millie said, propping her chin up on her hands.

"I love you too." I pecked her lips, holding her tightly.

Leaving her tomorrow was going to be one of the hardest things I've ever done.

But, I guess I needed to remember that I'd be back in a few weeks.

Millie's safety was my priority, and she came first over everything else.

I had to protect her.
