I Never Meant To Be Your Pain

Ava’s POV-
I woke up cuddled into Tony’s warm body. I looked up to him and smiled. He looked so happy when he was sleeping. I gently kissed his bare decorated chest before untangling myself from him and standing up; careful not to wake him. He was always so tired after getting home from a tour. I snuck into his bathroom and shut the door behind me. I turned on the shower and stripped off Tony’s flannel along with my underwear and bra, leaving them on the floor as I stepped under the water. I threw my head back and relaxed as the warm water ran over my body. My muscles contracted while I massaged my scalp with shampoo. I laughed to myself, thinking about Tony’s bathroom. My perfume was arranged on his vanity and his shower was filled with my shampoo and conditioner so I’d have it here when I stayed over. I loved the relationship we had. A lot of people were convinced that we were friends with benefits but that was not the case. Of course I occasionally spent the night with him and went out to dinner with him but we had never kissed. We had an innocent relationship filled with lots of cuddling. I smiled. Tony loved to cuddle and so did I. It was one of the best things to come home to after a long day. I had dated guys in the past, but never really got serious with any of them because I was so afraid of getting hurt. After dating for a month or two I’d put them in the friend zone and break things off if I started to get uncomfortable. Tony didn’t seem to mind and was pretty supportive when it came to my boyfriends. He was a great listener and always knew what to say when I was upset about something. The longest relationship I held lasted seven months and the only reason I broke up with the guy was because he constantly pushed me to have sex with him. I talked to Tony about him and he told me not to do anything I was uncomfortable with. So I broke up with him. Tony believed I wasn’t a virgin, but what did he know? I most definitely am a virgin; but he can think whatever he’d like to. I shut off the water and stepped out into the steam filled room, grabbing a deep blue towel off the towel rack. I wrapped it around my body, reaching for a second one to dry my hair with. Once I was dry, I threw my hair up into a bun and searched around for my makeup case. I applied some mascara and eyeliner before putting on a bit of lipstick. I slid on a pair of black waist high shorts and picked out my favorite skull shirt. After making sure everything looked okay I walked back into Tony’s room to find him sitting up in bed. He smiled at me.
“Good morning, Ave. You look beautiful as always.”
“Thanks Tone. You don’t look too shabby yourself.”
“Oh yeah, I’m rocking the bedhead look.” I giggled and rolled my eyes.
“You look good none the less.” He frowned.
“Are you heading out for work?” I nodded.
“Trying to kick me out Perry?” I folded my arms over my chest. He laughed and shook his head.
“No I actually wish you had off today so we could hang out and get lunch or something.”
“Well you’re coming in after work, right?” He nodded. “We can catch up and talk then.”
“Yeah, but what am I going to do all day?”
“Hang out with the guys.”
“I just lived with them in a bus for four months straight. No thanks,” he laughed getting out of bed. I grabbed my purse off the floor and tied up my black high top All Stars. Tony wrapped his arms around me and held me close to him. “Have a good day, okay?” I nodded, smiling into his chest. He kissed my forehead before pulling away. “What time should I stop by?”
“My last client comes in around two and will probably take two hours. Is five okay?”
“Of course,” he smiled giving me one last kiss on the cheek before I left.
“Don’t miss me too much.”
“I miss you already,” he smiled, laughing.
