Bring That Beat Back

Today is the day I go back. I've spent all week practising. It turns out that burlesque is a lot more work that I'd ever hoped for. Before you can learn the dancing and routines you have to make sure you look just right. That means money spent getting waxed, buying creams and make-up. Then you have to learn how to apply the make-up properly. You have to know how to do your hair. It isn't easy doing your hair like Dita Von Teese.
Then the dances . . . they're so complex and difficult. You don't just have to learn how to dance. You need to dance in a way that's sexy. When you're going over your next step in your head it isn't easy to remember to be sexy. Then you have to take your clothes off. You'd think that's pretty simple but honestly it isn't. You have to undress in an appealing way. That's almost impossible when you're taking stockings off.
Vic doesn't really know that I plan on having a show. I didn't tell him precisely. He knows I'm learning a few moves. He just thinks that I plan on using them behind closed doors. He has this whole thing about how only he should see me. Well I'm sure every rock stars nudes have leaked. If Vic's haven't yet I could arrange that.
But I'm so happy to be going home. I set off just after lunch time. Something that I felt very guilty about was that it's Vic's birthday tomorrow. Everyone has been planning things and I haven't been there. Vivian and Victor are throwing him a thing at their house. Just a lot of family and friends in the garden. But I won't see him until then.
When I arrived in San Diego I breathed in. This is like home to me now. More so than New York. There's too many memories there. Most of the memories are good ones here. San Diego is so much more chilled than LA.
I drove the way to Vic's parents house. I saw cars parked all along the road. I parked where I could and got out. I looked at myself in the window of my car. I've tried to look nice. I can't have Vic going off of me and finding some new floozy. I was wearing a nice floaty summer dress with some sandal heels. I walked along the pavement to the house. I knocked the door a waited. Mike answered and grinned at me.
"Hey." I smiled.
"Looking tasty, Drella." he commented.
"Looking single, Mike." I replied as I hugged him. He squeezed me and kissed my check before we pulled away. "Where is he?"
"Outside." Mike shrugged. "He's missed you." he sang.
"Shut up." I rolled my eyes. We walked through the house and headed outside.
"Are you a stripper yet?" Mike asked.
"I'm not a stripper." I snapped.
"Can I be your audience?"
"Can you shut up?" I teased.
We walked outside and I saw Vic. He was standing at the other end of the garden. I walked silently over to him. He had his back to me. He was with Jaime and Jess. I brought a finger to my lips to gesture for them to be quiet. Then I jumped on his back. Vic stumbled and was trying to look around to see who it was.
"I missed you." I said and gently kissed his cheek. I saw Vic grin and I let got of him. He turned around to me and I smiled brightly. I wrapped my arms around Vic's neck and he brought his lips down on mine. I kissed him back and Vic did the same. Vic's arms went around my waist where he pulled me close to him.
"I missed you too." he finally said.
I reached up so my lips were brushing just against his ear.
"I hope no one breaks into my car." I breathed.
"Whys that?" he chuckled.
"I have some questionable things in there."
"Questionable?" he echoed.
"Wouldn't you like to know." I grinned. I kissed him again and went off to get a drink.
After the little party Vic and I were getting ready to go home. We'd said goodbye to everyone and split our separate ways to get home. I tried to get home quicker than Vic. I didn't need him looking through all the stuff I've been using to practice.
I parked up and took all of my things towards the apartment block. I opened up and took the elevator to our floor. I went inside and dumped all of my things in my make shift studio so Vic wouldn't look.
I heard the door open and I went into the sitting room. I saw Vic walk in and he sat down on the couch. I smiled and went over to him. "It's your birthday tomorrow." I said.
"I know. I'm so old." he grumbled. I looked at him for a moment before I hit his arm hard. "Ow! Ella, what was that for?"
"I'm older than you. It means I'm old too." I frowned.
"You don't look thirty one though." he soothed and kissed me.
"And you don't look thirty one." I copied him. "You look about twenty."
"I don't." Vic snorted.
"When we went to see All Time Low play after Christmas it looked like I was your mom taking you to see your favourite band." I teased.
"Didn't." he laughed. Vic pulled me onto his lap and I straddled him. I started to kiss down his neck while he held my hips gently."I can't kiss my mom. And I can't touch her like I touch you either."
"Well you can." I mumbled against his skin.
"It wouldn't be right to." he shuddered. I smiled and kissed his shoulder. I tugged gently at Vic's shirt and he pulled it up over his head. I smiled and started kissing and sucking his chest before I left small, hard bites. "Ella." Vic gasped.
"Hmm?" I asked.
"I love you." he told me warmly.
"I love you too." I reached up to kiss his lips softly.

I love this series. You really need to write a sequel AND vics pov. You are seriosuly the best writer I have come across on this site. You've made me laugh, cry, and even angry.

I've spent all day reading this series! I had to endure my internet just randomly quitting on me about three times. I'm on vacation, so I'm pretty sure everyone thinks I'm a total loser, but it was so worth it! I would love to read any sort of sequel if you still have one planned.
