One last goodbye

Vic pulled up to the street and waved goodbye. I walked home and opened my door. “Hello?” I huffed. No answer. I did notice the bathroom light was on and continued my way to the light. I opened the door and didn’t see anything. I turned off the light and walked towards the kitchen. A note was sitting on the table.*NOTE* Dear Melissa and Miranda. I love you both so much and I’ve been thinking. I haven’t been the best mother to you, and I’m taking some time to think to myself. Your father wants you both, especially you Melissa to come to Europe and visit for a bit. This decision is up to you. That’s why I need time to think. Love you both so much. And I’m sorry for anything I ever did to make you the littlest bit unhappy.

I read the note in disgust, “wow you just now start to care?” I muttered. I threw the note in the trash can and ran up to my bedroom. I picked up my phone and called Alice. I told her about my day. And what my mother said and I asked her to come over. I waited and waited for her to knock on the door. “KNOCK” Alice hit the door in a beat. She quick rushed in and jumped on my bed. “SO! How was the day with the amazing Vic Fuentes?” Alice asked. “Oh shut up!” I said playfully as I hit her with a pillow. We laughed as my phone started lighting up like crazy. I looked at it, and most of it was just hate. I locked my phone up and put it away. I decided not to think negatively and thought about the fun night me and Alice were going to have.
