Fast Times at Clairemont High

Mike and I walked to Azalea's house to try and get her to come to Jaime's with us.

"You think she'dd come?" Mike asked and I shrugged.

"I'm not sure, I don't see why she wouldn't. Why do you ask?" He shrugged.

"I dunno, I think Jaime likes her." I smiled.

"I think I knew that but I didn't want to say anything." I looked up and told Mike that this was her house.

We quietly threw small rocks at her window until she came down.

"So where exactly are we going?" She asked as she fixed her shirt.

"We are going to Jaime's, his parents are out and yeah..." Mike started but trailed off.

"Oh, nice." Even though is was dark I could tell she was smiling.

Shortly after we arrived at Jaime's house and he greeted us in a hushed tone.

"So can I get you guys anything to drink?" he asked. I shook my head and Mike looked at me concerned.

"No thank you, I am quite alright for now". Azalea spoke.

"Okay, well just let me know." Jaime said leading us to his room.

"So are the other guys coming?" Azalea asked.

"Nah, Vic didn't want mama and papa noticing that we were both gone, and Tony is too excited because there is a Star Wars marathon on.." Mike said.

"Oh, well okay." she giggled.

We all sat around watching t.v when Jaime suggested we play truth or dare.

"What are we, in middle school?" Mike scoffed and I hit his arm.

"Hey, this could be fun." I said but suddenly Azalea's phone went off.

"Okay ...yes ...I am coming just hold on!" She sounded worried.

"Hey guys I am sorry to be a bummer but my parents noticed that I was gone and so my sister called because they are fighting so I have to like run home like its nobody's business" She said

"I could drive you, you know so you don't have to run and get all sweaty" Jaime asked

"Sure, I would like that"

"So I guess Mike and I will just stay here" I stated

"Don't do anything I wouldn't do" Jaime yelled walking out the door.

"So what do you wanna do?" Mike asked

"I dunno wanna go look at the stars?"

"Sure, lets go" He said while taking my hand. He led me out to the balcony and we both laid in the shay's lounge and looked at the sky.

"So I have to ask you something" He broke the silence

"Shoot" I laughed

"I like this girl but I don't know how to tell her" My heart sank. Mike likes another girl and he is asking me for advice.

"I am not the girl to ask for advice but you know who is?" He shook his head.

"Azalea, she gives great advice" He smiled

"But I mean I really like this girl. We have been friends for a while and I don't wanna ruin anything between us"

"You should ask Azalea I am telling you, I am shit at advice. You should ask her"

"Okay, I will ask her tomorrow if we all hangout again" He stated looking back at the stars.

"I should probably go home before my mom decides she wants to kill my ass for being gone this late" I stated lamely.

"Well let me walk you home, I don't want you going out in the dark " He said

"Okay, I'd like that" We left Jaime a note and walked towards my house.

" Night Lye,see you tomorrow" Mike said as I walked up to the door.

"Night Mikey"
