Without You There Is No Me

Ten

I screamed loudly and my body started writher. I whimpered in pain. It felt as though something was crushing down on me. I could hardly breathe. I looked at Vic and into his deep, chocolate brown eyes. They were my eyes and they were beautiful. They were the only thing that could get me through this. But that was taken away from me. I couldn't see Vic anymore. Instead everything had been replaced.
There was no light coming into the tomb. I saw someone standing by the gate. Now I looked harder I recognised Jaime. He looked on sadly, not knowing what to do. "Hannah." he whispered, tears in his eyes.
I could still see around me but I could things in my head too. My mother and Jaime's dad were being dragged through a long corridor. Men pushed them up against the wall and my mothers head was pulled back. She whimpered and received a loud smack across the mouth. Her head was turned and she was forced to watch as her husband was beaten. He couldn't talk anymore, he had lost the power. He was spitting out blood until a knife was plunged into his back. He coughed and collapsed down onto the floor. My mother screamed in grief and a pulled his bleeding, dying body onto her own. Before one of the men grabbed her by the hair and smashed her head up against the wall, knocking her unconscious.
"No!" I screamed. Tears were rolling down my cheeks. "Don't take them! She raised me! She did nothing but love me!" I exclaimed.
A slash across my torso. And another across my left breast.
I saw a park with trees lined up. Hanging from the trees were rope nooses. But at their ends with broken necks were people. Mike. Tony. Karen. They were long dead and starting to decompose. But their spirits were still inside. They were trapped, I could feel it.
"Let them go! Let them go! Let them go!" I cried. "Mike, no." I sobbed.
My limbs were smacking down onto the stone. My head was bumping back again and again. Slashes and slashes across both my wrists and arms. Stabs all over my thighs and calves.
Jess was walking down a long dark alley. She stopped to look behind her. But someone was following her. She hurried through the alley but found herself at a dead end. The person revealed himself to be a large man. He pushed her down and she gasped. He pulled her hair, making her open her mouth in pain. He forced his tongue into her mouth and tore her dress. Jess screamed but it was no good. The man's hand went inside her dress before he pulled it off altogether. She was left barely clothed. He put a hand in her underwear before he laughed. He ripped them away before he took his trousers and underwear down. The man gripped her wrists to place above her head before he climbed on top of her, making Jess gag on the bile that had risen into her throat.
"Not her. Not her." I mumbled. "My Jess." I cried.
Scratches all over my face. Whips all across my back leaving me in agony.
I saw Jaime standing in a dark room. He climbed up on the chair and held the rope that was tied to a rafter. He made sure it was in a tight knot before he made a noose of it and slipped it around his neck. Jaime searched in his jacket pocket and pulled out a photo of me. He looked at it for a while and kissed the photo. A few tears escaped and she didn't bother to wipe them away.
"I do it for you, my beautiful Hannah. My perfect sister. I can't do it on my own anymore." he admitted. "I long to be with you again. I can't cope." he said. Then he stepped off the chair. He fell down and there was a snap as his neck broke. His eyes rolled back and became dead. The photo slipped from his fingers as he left.
"I don't want it. Get out of my head! Jaime, get out!" I yelled.
Cuts on my hips. Thorns being forced down around my head.
I saw Vic in a dark room. He was tied to a chair. Through a door a man and woman walked inside. The woman smiled nastily at him and stroked his cheek before she backhanded him. She leant down and kissed his red cheek before she bit down hard, drawing blood.
"Please, let me go." Vic sighed.
"We want to play." the woman replied easily. She grabbed Vic's hair and pulled his head all the way back.
"Ahh!" Vic growled. "Please. I need to see Hannah. I need her." he begged.
"Don't speak." the man spat and punched Vic in the jaw. The man threw a camp cloth over Vic's face. Then the woman started to pour water over him. Vic was gasping for air and started to panic. He tried to set himself free but she couldn't. The fear was too much for him. The chemicals flooding in his head were driving him insane. The man punched him hard in the stomach, winding him and making the ordeal that much worse. He couldn't breathe before. "It's over. Hannah is dead." the man said. Everything stopped. Vic's whole world was falling him and the debry was killing him, that much was obvious.
"I love you." I sobbed. "I'm not dead, my love. Vic, please. Save me. It's just chemicals. It's just chemicals." I begged desperately.
I looked up and saw something overhead. It fell down and landed on top of me. I picked it up and saw a knife. I sat up and held it in my hands. Before I brought it down and into my chest.
But the disappeared. I looked around and saw everyone was watching me. Vic had tears in his eyes. I said his name and he ran to me. I threw my arms around him and he pulled me close to him. I hurt so much. All of the cuts and scratches were bleeding onto Vic's t-shirt. He picked me up and held me gently. I clung to him and he kissed me. I kissed him again and again and again.
"They were hurting you. You were drowning. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." I sobbed.
"Han', shh. It wasn't real. I'm fine. We're all fine." he soothed. I relaxed a little and rubbed my face. But that was sore too. "I know what happened. I saw it all. I understand. I understand."
"Shh... I'm taking you back. We can get rubbing alcohol on your cuts. They're not deep. You need to rest." Vic told me. I nodded against him and he carried me out. We passed everyone and I saw they were okay. None of it was real. But to me over a hundred years ago it was very real. It was happening and it drove me to kill myself. The saddest part is I understand and of o went through it again I'd be tempted.

Notes

Hey! What did you think? That's what Hannah saw all those years ago. More will be explained. Do you understand why she killed herself now? What will happen to everyone? Will Hannah be alright? :)
