Dani’s POV

We made it home and Jacob helped me up to my room. He sat me on the bed before sitting on the floor in front of me and taking off my shoes.

“You okay Dani?”

“I don't know.”

“Do you want to talk about it?” he said standing up and walking over to get me some different clothes.

“I don't know, not really but kind of.” I sighed.

“It's just I knew I would see him at some point, but I didn't know it would feel like this.”

“What do you mean?” Jacob said handing me some shorts and a shirt, before turning around so I could change.

“I expected him to be upset, but not like that. He doesn't sound like him, he doesn't even look like himself… and what he said, it honestly kind of hurt.”

“Yeah, I see what you mean….”

“I don't know why it hurts so much, he was in my life for what a few months. It’s been almost 2 years.”

“Because he's still your dad Dani.”

“Yeah…. He doesn't act like it though.” I sighed. Doesn't seem like he wants to he either.


Jaime’s POV.

Dani…..

She was here, she was really here in San Diego…but why? And why wouldn't they have told me. I sighed and got out bed.

“Where are you going?” Ashley slurred.

“For a walk, need to get some fresh air” I said putting on my shoes.

Ashley sighed, clearly annoyed, before turning over and going to sleep. I quickly grabbed my phone and keys before leaving Ashley's place.

It had been a few hours since the party and I was sadly sober, but wasn't really in the mood to drink or do much of anything really.

I walked down the quiet streets with only one thing on my mind. Daniella. It had been so long, she had grown up so much….

I sighed and pulled my phone out of my pocket to check the time.

4:28am….. 2 hours of walking flew by, I wasn't even really tired, but I guess I should just go home.
