Runaway

The Beach Boys Look Like Sharks

Rachel walked inside the apartment and turned to look behind her. Tony followed and she smiled slightly at him. They stopped in the hall and Rachel scanned the area. It was light and open. There were five doors ahead of her and they slowly followed the woman showing them around.
“Thank you for coming with me. I didn’t want to look on my own,” Rachel said.
“I understand,” Tony nodded.
They were led to a living room. It was open plan and had a kitchen one end. The room was a good size and the colours were neutral and soft. It was already furnished and from the window was a view of the city.
“Shall we go onto the bedrooms?” the woman asked.
“Please,” Rachel replied.
She led them out of the living room and opened a door as she passed. “Just storage,” she explained. “This is the guest room,” she said and they peered inside a single bedroom. “Perfect if you’re thinking of starting a small family,”
“We aren’t together,” Rachel blushed.
“No, just friends,” Tony rushed.
“Oh, I apologise. I just assumed,” she shrugged. “Master bedroom,” she said. Rachel walked in and beamed back at Tony. It was spacious with a large double bed and a large window letting in bright light. “And finally the bathroom,” the woman said and led them into a modern large bathroom.
“What do you think?” Rachel reached up to Tony.
“Do you like it?” he asked quietly.
“I love it,” she breathed.
“There’s your answer. Do what you think is right,” he urged.
“Thank you,” Rachel breathed.
“The apartment comes fully furnished and complete with appliances. Very rare in this city,” the woman explained.
“Would it be possible to talk prices per month?”
“Of course, if you want to come back to the office,” she said. Rachel nodded and grinned up at Tony.
“This is fantastic,” she told him.
“Yeah,” he nodded.
A week later Tony walked into Vic’s house carrying bags of food. He went through into the kitchen and laid them on the table. The guys looked up and Tony saw Jaime grin. “What food?” Jaime asked. Tony looked at him as if to say ‘what do you think’.
“Mexican!” Mike declared and started to dig through the bag. Vic went to get plates and a few beers then brought them over.
“Did Rachel get you?” Vic asked Tony as they started to eat.
“What?” Tony quickly asked.
“She came here on her way home. Said she wanted to see you,” he explained.
“Oh, no. she hasn’t,” Tony shrugged. They all looked at him with raised eyebrows. “What?” he said.
“What’s going on with you two?” Mike asked.
“I don’t know,” he sighed.
“Everyone knows you have a slip for her,” Jaime said and they all turned to look at him.
“What?” Vic questioned.
“It’s an expression. They say it in France,”
“No, they say you have a ticket,” Mike told him.
“You sure?” Jaime asked seriously.
“Positive,” Tony laughed.
“Add that to the list, Vic. Jaime can’t talk good, number 96,” Mike said and Jaime glared.
“Anyway, you have some kind of paper thing for her,” Jaime said.
“Moving on. . ." Vic said awkwardly.
“Didn't you go to hers on the weekend for movies?” Mike asked.
“Yeah, I did,” Tony nodded.
“So, what did you do?”
“Watched movies,” he replied stupidly.
“Come on,” Jaime urged and rolled his eyes.
“We had pizza and she got changed into these little shorts because it was so hot and sat right next to me,” he told them. Mike started grinning and tried to high five Tony. Tony shook his head and Mike frowned. “No,”
“If I saw Rachel in shorts. . . pshhh,” Mike said.
“Shut up,” Vic frowned.
“Like you don’t think she’s hot,” Mike rolled his eyes.
“What happened?” Jaime urged.
“We just watched movies and talked. She put my arm around her because the film was scary for her,”
“Didn't you kiss her?” Vic asked.
“No,” he shook his head. “I didn’t want to force her into anything,”
“That’s kind of sweet. Chicks dig that,” Jaime smiled.
“Just remember you’re not the only guy that likes her,” Vic reminded him.
“What?” Tony asked.
“Just that she doesn’t stay at home all day. People see her and find her attractive and if you don’t do something they will,”
“Yeah, I know,” Tony frowned and took a huge gulp of beer.

Notes

Hey! What did you think? I tried something a little different. Hopefully it shows Tony's feelings on Rachel. Do you think they'll get together? What will happen? :)

@Layla
Yay! No more Megan! Things will be . . . different now. Tony and Rachel still have things they need to face. Next time it just won't be in the form of a crazy, psychopathic ex hook up buddy! :)

@Gabriela_perry
I am doing a sequel! It should be up within a week or two. I'll be any updates and links about the sequel on this story so don't unsubscribe! :)
