A Match Into Water

I arrived at the scene of incident. The girl was covered in blood while entwined in the males arms he had her held close to his chest keeping her safe in his arms. It was so cute but also horrifying at the same time.

The first thing we had to do was check them both and make sure they were alive as we could see they were both unconscious. We carefully separated them and laid the girl on a stretcher while we examined them both. The boy had many injuries, we was worried he may have a broken back or neck so we put a neck brace on and stabilised him, he was breathing but his pulse was getting weaker. The girl was hardly breathing she was near death her pulse was almost none existent.....we knew nearly all her injures were self inflicted, she self harmed. We strapped her up and placed them both in the ambulance as we knew that she didn't have much longer left and we wanted to give them both a fighting chance.

A few minuets of being in the ambulance on the way to accident and emergency the girl began to wake up. She looked to the side of her and burst into tears while screaming out "Vic, Vic you are so stupid! What have you done?!? I'm so sorry please wake up.....please" she reached out and grabbed his hand and refused to let go. I asked her a few questions however she refused to say anything about herself and only gave details for Vic. She didn't tell us what had happened why she was bleeding, well why she was in the state she was. She passed out again, she lost consciousness for a long time, we arrived at the hospital and the doors to the hospital flung open and everyone was on stand by waiting to help and save these two young adults.

*Vic's POV*

I began to open my eyes fluttering my eyelids trying to see more clearly, I could hear people rushing around me, shouting. As my vision began to clear I saw a women stood over me telling me to open my eyes and that I was in hospital. I suddenly remembered everything. I panicked and began asking for Alisha, I needed to know she was ok that she survived, that she wasn't dead. My Alisha couldn't be dead.

"Could you repeat her name Vic, she refused to tell us anything and what happened.....its important she is very ill" the nurse said with a glimmer of hope in her eyes.

It was hard to speak "Her names Alisha, Alisha Culshaw. She's overdosed but I don't know what on...please help her I need her to live please!" Tears began to fall as those words left my mouth, Alisha tried to kill herself....I didn't think she felt so bad. I knew she self harmed, why couldn't I see that she was suicidal?!?

The nurse rushed off running across the room stopping at the feet of a patient then informing the doctor on the information I had given to her. Alisha was here, in the same room as me.

"Alisha! Alisha are you ok? Please baby tell me your alright" I began to cry even harder when I heard no reply.

The nurse ran back over and told me I needed to calm down or they will have to sedate me....I took a few deep breaths and asked what was wrong with her. The nurse said she couldn't tell me so instead she told me about my injuries.

"Vic, you know you was hit by a car...well you have sustained injuries to your back. We do not know yet how bad these injuries are.....you also have a few broken ribs and a fractured leg and wrist." she looked at me with sympathy.

"Will Alisha be ok?" I brushed off the fact that I might not be able to walk again as I needed to know Alisha was going to live.

As those words left my lips I noticed that a heart monitor was no longer beeping but that it had flat lined. There was only me and Alisha in that room. Oh my god her heart has stopped.

"Baby you have to pull through, I love you!" the tears fell heavier and heavier as they placed a screen up next to me so I couldn't see.
