The Fuentes' Best Friend

Kat looks anxiously at the bus door, waiting to see if Sam will come up or not. There was another bang, this time it was right behind them. Kat screams loudly as she jumps, Mike and Vic jump, both saying 'shit'. Kat covers her face, Tony and Jaime come in quickly.

"That bastard is throwing rocks at the bus!" Tony exclaims setting the bags down. Jaime puts his hand on Kat's shoulder, she's visibly shaking.

"He… he… he wont stop until I'm out.." Kat says as she starts to cry. Vic puts her head against his chest, his eyes were red with fury. Mike gets up and walks outside before Kat could do anything, Jaime and Tony follows.

**Inside the bus**

Kat tries to get up, but Vic stops her. "Stay here babe, they will handle it."

She shakes her head, "you don't understand Vic, Sam is a lot stronger than he looks. He will hurt Mike and whoever is out there. Please, let me go."
Vic holds her close, rubbing her back, "Don't worry, he can't outnumber Oli, Josh, Mike, Tony, AND Jaime." She calms down slightly as he rubs the knots out of her back. "They will be ok, don't worry Love. Trust me."

She couldn't stop worrying though. She had a bad feeling someone was going to be put into the hospital, and she knew it wasn't Sam. She cuddles up to Vic as he starts rubbing the back of her neck, he was trying so hard to calm her down. This is what she needed right now, and he knew it. It always amazed her that he could tell what she needed by what she did or how she sounded.

**Outside the bus**

Sam stands between the gas station and Pierce the Veils bus. He is glaring at Mike, furious that Kat hadn't came out. He was certain that she would, since she didn't like seeing her friends get hurt, but instead, Mike and some other guys came out. 'What did they see in her?' he thought to himself as he waits to see what they would do, 'she's completely useless. What does Vic have and I don’t? I know I hit her, but I didn't think it was that bad.'

"Where's Kat? I want her out here, not you guys." Sam said, not lowering his guard.

"She's inside, away from you. Which is the point. Now leave her alone, you have done enough damage to her." Mike says stepping towards Sam.

Sam doesn't move, he smirks a little, "And if I don’t? Do you really think your skinny ass can take me?" He laughs at his own comment.

"I can take you anytime Sam, you are not that strong." Mike says shaking his head, "You are just a cocky sonofabitch that likes to take an advantage of women that are weaker than you. What you do is break them down, you push their buttons just right," He looks straight at Sam. "Until they get enough courage to get out of it, but this time she has us, you can't touch her anymore Sam now go." As the others come up to get beside Mike, Sam lunges and punches Mike right in the face, he stumbles backwards and falls on his ass, Sam caught him off guard.

"You asshole!" Mike gets up punching Sam in the face. Sam hits Mike hard in the ribs as Tony and Josh grab him. They try to pull Sam back, but he was struggling too much. He got free and jumped onto Mike, he hit him in the arm, chest and sides.

Kat runs out of the bus, Vic comes after her yelling, "Kat! Get back here!" Kat ignores him as she rushes to Sam.

"Stop! Please!" She grabs Sam's arm, trying to get him off of Mike. Sam thrusts his arm back, his elbow hits Kat's cheek. The blow sends her falling onto her back, her head hits the ground as she blacks out.

"Kat!" Vic runs over to her, lifting her up carefully, "Kat, wake up!" She doesn't come to, she's completely out. Tony and Jaime both go over to her. "She's not coming to, we need to get her to the hospital, she hit her head on the pavement hard." He looks up at them, they nod their head.
Oli and Josh grab Sam, pushing him roughly against the ground. Josh hits him hard to knock him out, Oli is on the phone already with the police. Matt and Jordan from Bring Me the Horizon comes over.

"Yes… He just started throwing rocks at the bus…. Yes… He has hurt her before, he started hitting one of my friends.." His British accent hinted on anger and worry. Matt and Jordan helped Mike up as Vic takes Kat to the bus.

"Mike! Stay here with Oli, and tell the police what happened, then you guys can come to the hospital afterward." Jaime says as he follows Tony up into the bus. Mike nods, looking at Sam. Sam didn't try to get up, because he now had Josh, Matt, and Jordan standing over him. He knew for a fact he was out numbered now.

"Thank you, bye." Oli hangs up, looking at Mike. "They are on their way." Mike nods, worrying about Kat right now.

***30 Minutes Passed***

Everyone was in the waiting room, well Oli, Josh, Mike, Tony, Jaime, and Vic were all in there. The rest of the BTMH and You Me at Six were waiting outside in their busses. The doctors wouldn't let Vic or the others in because they weren't relatives, even after the boys told them that they were the closest thing Kat had to a relative. They are waiting for her to be allowed visitors.

"I should have never went out there…" Mike says putting his hands on his face, resting his elbows on his knees.

"Its not your fault, mate." Oli says looking at him, "Kat would have went out there no matter what, you know this." His eyes were full of worry for his friend. He knew he would never feel for Kat the way Vic does, but it seems like he was her brother. Oli and Kat had made a connection the first time they have met, they silently agreed that they wouldn't try to pursue a relationship with each other. But Oli knew she liked him, and she knew she liked Vic. He was glad he didn’t have to break the friendship they have.

The doctor comes through the double doors, he looks at the boys as he says, "Friends of Kathaleen O'Meara." He pronounces the 'th' sound. The boys stand up looking at the doctor.

"It's Kataleen, not Kathaleen, you don't pronounce the 'th' sound, she doesn’t like it when you do it." Vic says as his face clearly reads that he is stressing about Kat.

"Sorry, Katallen is stable…." The doctor says as he looks at Kat's chart.
