Tony's P.O.V

The rest of the day I avoided Crystal as much as possible. She tried to talk to me but I'd just nod or give short answers. I was sure if I spoke to her those dudes won't leave me alone.
During lunch I went outside to my usual spot and didnt see her. I'm sure she was with her new 'friends' anyways.
Right now I was walking home. The weather a bit chilly which was weird for San Diego.
"Ayo Tone! Hurry up!" Mikes voice yelled. I looked up and saw him and Vic standing a few feet infront of me. Both wearing Hoodies and beanies. I smiled and ran up to them.
"Hey guys. Who's this?" I asked pretending not to know who Vic was.
"Oh that's my brother and your friend." Mike played along.
"Are you sure?" I questioned playfully.
"I'm sure."
"Did he put on weight?"
"Yeah like forty pounds."
"Of good looks" I smiled making Vic roll his eyes with a smile as we began walking.
"It's the hoodie guys" he chuckled.
"Mhm we know" Mike said.
"So where's Jaime?" I asked confused.
"Stayed after. Had to make up a test" Mike shrugged.
"Oh"
"How was school with the new girl?" Vic asked.
"Uhm..good." I lied.
"Her names Crystal but she was quickly scooped up by those people" I said looking down.
"Oh so she's a bitch?" Mike asked.
"No..just. I don't know. She's really nice and even wanted to be my partner but I pushed her away since everybody was messing with me when I was around her." I sighed looking down.
"Tony you have to stop pushing people away. They probably just want her all to them selves. She obviously wants to be your friend. Fuck what others say." Vic said patting my back.
"Yeah man. You're living with her now. Just hang with her if she's cool which she obviously is if she kept trying even after hearing what those assholes had to say" Mike said as we walked into my house.
"Yeah..yeah ok" I smiled slipping my shoes and jacket off. They followed suit and soon we where playing video games in the living room. Lidia and my mom where working so it was just us. Jaime joined us soon but there was no sign of Crystal.
"Where's the girl?" Jaime asked after a while. School let out at 2 and it was already 4.
"I don't know" I said biting my lower lip. As soon as I said that the door opened and She walked in with red puffy eyes. We all stopped the game and looked at her.
"Oh-u-uhm hi." She said quickly rubbing her eyes.
"Hey.." We said quietly. I'm sure the guys were just as curious as why she was crying.
"Are you ok?" Jaime asked cocking his head to a side.
"Yeah thank you for asking. I'm Crystal." she said giving us a fake smile.
"I'm Jaime and that's Vic and his younger brother Mike." Jaime said with a smile. Mike and Vic smiled at her and waved. I kept quiet trying to figure out why she was crying.
"Nice to meet you. Sorry for interrupting. Ill be upstairs." She said before hurrying up the stairs. We heard a door close and soon it was all quiet.
"Well...she's nice." Vic said.
"Yeah..why do you think she was crying?" Mike asked me as if I knew the answer.
"Dunno..." I breathed out.
"We should ask" Jaime said.
"No that's invading her privacy. Just let her calm down" Vic said. We nodded and decided to go to my room instead.
We were walking upstairs when we heard quiet sniffles coming from Luna's room.
"I wanna go home ma, it's just like back home so why stay here? It's obvious he doesn't want me here." She sniffled making my heart drop.
"See what you did dickhead?" Mike said shoving me. We remained quiet listening to the conversation.
"Those people just like me because I come from Mexico. They're fake and mean.......I know he doesn't like me because he ignored me all day then those kids at school said he called me names. It's gunna start again like back home..." She said with a small sob.
"That's not true! I didn't call her names, I don't talk to people at school!" I whispered, angry at those assholes for saying I did such things.
"Well go tell her" Jaime pushed me forward.
"I don't want to be where I'm not wanted......mhm.....ok..bye" she said quietly. I took that as my que and knocked on her door.
"Crystal?" I asked quietly making her go quiet.
"Y-yes?"
"Can I talk to you?"
She opened the door and looked at me before back at the guys who quickly shuffled in my room. Leaving the door open just in case.
"I'm sorry for ignoring you at school. Thought you'd be better off with them." I said quickly.
"Huh?"
"Look those people at school don't like me for some reason and I thought you wouldn't either so I just stayed away I guess. And I never called you a name or insulted you..I don't talk to them so they where lying..just so you'd hate me too.."
"Okay..why would i hate you? i don't know you."she nodded.
"I know.. I'm sorry"
"It's ok I accept your apology. I don't care what people say about you because they're just mean. I think your smart and nice." She said with a small smile.
"You are too" I smiled back.
"Uhm do you want to hang out with the guys and I?" I asked nervously. She looked behind me at the guys who where smiling creepily.
"No it's okay, don't want to uhm.. intrude? I think is the word."
"What?! No! It'll be fun!" Jaime said from behind me.
"Yeah it's our movie night" I said scratching the back of my neck.
"We have food" Vic said with puppy eyes.
"Drinks..."Jaime continued.
"Harry potter" Mike said hopefully but we all yelled no making him jump.
"You guys have the movies?!" Crystal asked, her eyes lighting up.
"All of the ones that are out" Mike smiled, finally finding someone with his obsession.
"Wait! wait hold on!" Jaime said putting his hand up.
"You said no to everything else but yes to Harry Potter? What had this world come to?!"
"Oh shut up Preciado" Mike said shoving him aside.
"So you're in?" I asked her.
"Mhm thanks" she smiled closing her bedroom door behind her. We all headed separate ways each having a job to do.
