I got out of bed and looked toward the bedroom door to see that it was unlocked. A flash of adrenaline flowed through me. I thought someone was in the hotel room with me. I slowly looked around the room looking for any sign that I was not alone but I found nothing. I locked the door.
Jaime's things were gone and he left no note saying where he was.
I got in the shower and let the hot water massage my tense back muscles for twenty minutes. I was afraid something was wrong with Jaime but somehow my body begged for a hot shower. A place where i could cry without being interrupted. I turned off the water and stood in the bathtub for a few minutes just processing what had happened these last few days. I finally got the strength to get out of the bathtub and into some clothes.
I came out of the bedroom.
I looked down the hallway of the hotel to see no one there.
I heard a door unlocking nearby and I gave a little scream.
"Why so jumpy?" and of course it was Mike.
"I just cant find Jaime"
"Oh" Mike said while he was locking the hotel room door.
"Yeaah" I said awkwardly.
"So lets go look for him" Mike said
"Yeah you go that way and ill go this way"
"Okay I guess that will work" Mike said. He knew I was trying to avoid him. Because I was.
I went down to the hotel cafeteria to see Vic and Tony eating breakfast together.
"Good morning guys , have you seen Jaime?"
"Not since earlier this morning, he seemed really upset." Vic mentioned.
"Shit" I whispered.
"Whats wrong? Come and sit with us." Tony said.
"I-I-I I want to go home to San Diego and I guess that is why Jaime is all upset about." I stuttered.
"No Vanessa! Dont go!"
"Noo you cant leave us with Jaime all depressed!"
Tony and Vic seemed very bothered about me going home.
"I really just have to clear my mind and home is the place to do that" I said.
"Jaime has just been acting odd lately and so has Mike you cant leave us to deal with all their emotional bullshit" Tony giggled.
I just gave a slight giggle.
"So when are you thinking about leaving?" Vic said.
"In a few days probably, ill get on a bus here in Las Cruses to San Diego before warped tour drags us any farther" I whispered.
"Well then you have to party with us the rest of the time here" Vic said while Tony nodded.
"Hahaha you got it dude!" I giggled. These guys were really party animals.
"Hey I just got a text from Jaime!" Tony said.
"Well dumb ass what does it say?!?"
"It says: meet me in the bus!" Tony said.
I got up before anyone could say anything and ran towards the bus. I pulled open the door to see Mike and Jaime talking on the bus couch while sharing a bottle of whiskey. FUCK.
