The Little Sister

Vic's Point of View

I sat in my car staring at my phone. I was on Twitter just staring at the two pictures on my news feed.

Attached was a picture of Mike and Karen's hands. On Karen's hand was a ring. On her ring finger.

Attached was a picture of Mike and Karen kissing. I sighed and pulled out of my driveway and started driving towards the beach. Tony is getting married on Thursday,Jaime and Shelby are in love, Mike's engaged, and i'm alone. I just want someone to hold while we sleep, someone I could cuddle with when it's raining, someone to watch movies with all day, someone to write music about who did cheat on me or die, someone who could be not only my lover but my best friend, someone to eat Chinese food with and fall in love with. I sighed and parked my car. I got out and walked onto the beach, I sat down on the sand and stared out to the ocean.

I sat there for a while before a girl came walking towards me. "Hey your not a rapist or cereal killer right?" I heard her angelic voice say to me. I chuckled "I don't think I am." "Good I need to get drunk as fuck with someone." she said sitting down next to me. "That is an ugly dress." I commented, she chuckled "I know, i'm the maid of honor at my sister's wedding." I nodded "Shouldn't you be there?" she laughed "Yea I don't want to be there." she took a sip out of a bottle of Jack. "Want some?" I nodded and took the bottle and passed the bottle back.

"So why you sitting on the beach by yourself good lookin?" she asked me. "My brother is engaged to this girl-" "And you like her?" "I did, i'm not into her anymore but he's engaged, my best friend is getting married Thursday and one of my other best friends is in love with the perfect girl." "And you're all alone?" I nodded and we passed the bottle back and forth a couple more times.

"So what's your name?" she asked me "I'm Vic." "Ryker." "Original name." "That was my moms goal." I chuckled "Seriously I can't get over how ugly that dress is." Ryker laughed "I know it's pretty bad." "It makes sense you wanted to get out of there." "Yea, that and my parents were trying to pimp me out again." "They were trying to hook you up?" she nodded "With this guy Cameron. He's the bass player in Asking Alexandria, uh he's just urg." "You don't like musicians?" I questioned "I do I mean whats sexier then a musician but like, I don't want to date one of my brother in laws band mates." she explained "Who did your sister marry?" I questioned "Their lead singer Danny." I nodded. I didn't know Danny was engaged.

"So tell me about yourself Ryker." "Well okay Vic, i'm 27, born in England but I came to California when I was 13 to live with my dad and his girlfriend. They got married when I was 16, I went to the San Diego State and majored in mortuary science with a minor in criminology um I work at San Diego city morgue, and at the juvenile hall. Um I have a cat named Derp and a roommate named Maddie. I like music and art and tattoos as you can see. So yea... I'm not sure what else to say... what about you?" Ryker said "Well i'm 30 born and raised in San Diego. I live by myself, i'm a guitar teacher. I like music, I have a younger brother. I went to community college for a little while, I dropped out to pursue music. I'm not really sure what else to say..." I chuckled at the end. "Ryker Tatum Ackerman! Get back here right now young lady!" I looked up and saw a very angry lady yelling a very clear British accent coming through. Ryker sighed, "Well Vic, here's my number. You should call me some time." Ryker wrote her number on the bottle of Jack and gave it to me. "I think i'll call you Ryker." she blushed when I said that. I smiled and she stumbled a little and pulled her shoes off to walk over to the wedding. "RYKER! Cameron is waiting for you." she yelled.

I chuckled and walked back to my car putting Ryker's number in my phone. She was cute. She might not know who I really am but if we work out imma tell her.

Jaime's Point of View

"Shelby!!!" I cheered "What Hi-Me?" "Mike and Karen are getting married!!!!" "She said yes!!!" I nodded and we jumped up and down cheering. "Jaime I kinda need to tell you something."

"What baby girl?" I asked smiling "I um I think... I think I um... I love you." she said looking down at the ground. I felt a smile coming up to my face. "I love you too Shell." I said to her pulling her into my arms.

Tony's Point of View

"Tone!" I heard Melinda yell from the bedroom. "Yes baby?" I called as I started walking upstairs. I opened the door and saw her sitting on the bed of our bedroom. "I need to tell you something." I looked at her confused. "I know you wanted to wait until we were married but I just need to tell you." tears started rolling down her face. I quickly walked over to the bed and wrapped my arms around her shoulders. "Sh baby what ever it is it's okay." "Tony i'm pregnant." she said in between cries. "Baby that's amazing." I smiled and started kissing all over her face. Melinda started laughing "I thought you would leave me." she said. "Never, Mel you're my everything and now this baby will be too." I smiled and put my hand on her belly. Melinda smiled and put her hand over mine. "How long have you known?" I asked her "A couple of days, I was gonna wait until we got home from our weekend but you know." I chuckled "I love you babe." I kissed her cheek and she giggled "I love you too Turtle."
