Loose Lips Sink Ships, So I'll Keep Silent
I woke up to the sounds of screaming and shouting and I already knew it was Nicole. I laughed at her jumping up and down, and crawled out of bed.
I decided to let Tony find out on his own that I knew he was in a band, and I knew that he lied.
My clock read 9:30 a.m. and Warped Tour started at 3:30, and it was going to take us an hour to get there. So I guess it was pretty fair, so we'd be in the front at the concert.
I went into the bathroom and took a shower, blow dried my hair and put on makeup. I did a smokey eye and put on my eyeliner and mascara. I put on a plain red shirt and ripped white shorts. Nicole looked at me and frowned. She tossed me a half shirt that said "GET ON YOUR KNEES."
"Um?"
"It's an Asking Alexandria song, they're playing at Warped Tour also."
So I shrugged and put it on. My belly button ring was out in the open and it was red, just like the lettering on my shirt, and I had in a black septum to match the background of it. I grabbed my phone to see, once again, multiple texts from Tony. I didn't answer them, I wanted him to see me in the crowd. I grabbed my purse and put my phone and the charger for it and put them in my purse, and we headed out the door.
Nicole put on a band called Bring Me The Horizon the whole way there, and I had already listened to a couple of their songs last night, so I didn't mind.
- 1 hour of driving later -
"We're here!" Nicole nearly fell out of the car trying to get out so quickly. I grabbed my phone off the charger and looked at the time to see it was 10:45. There were a couple people already there, and they let us scoot by and get beside them. We were in the front and nobody was going to push Nicole or I out of the way, or she'd throw down and get kicked out. I laughed at the thought and Nicole turned to face me.
"You know, I'm so happy you came with me. We've been best friends forever and you know how I don't like being alone, and neither do you. You were my first choice to bring with me, I didn't even ask my friends that I knew who liked this music, because the only person I'd want to come with me to this concert, is you. I don't tell you this enough, but you're the greatest friend I've ever had, and I love you Yess." I could almost feel tears forming and I hugged her tightly.
"I love you too, Nicki." we pulled apart and I smiled at her.
We waited for 4 and a half hours, and it was finally about to start. The place was packed with people and we were still in the front. Nicole almost fought a couple girls who tried getting in front of us, and after that, everyone finally backed off.
I heard a voice boom into a microphone and it was greeting a band that was about to come out.
"Everyone please welcome.... OF MICE & MEN!"
5 guys walked out on stage, and the lead singer greeted everyone.
"How are you guys today?" he asked.
Everyone screamed.
"You ready for me to sing a couple songs with my band here?"
More screams.
"Well aaaalright..." he dragged out.
"This ones called OG LOKO!"
The drums pounded and the guitars came, the lead singer's screams started and it all began.
I must say, I enjoyed the song a lot. They played a couple more, then the next band went on.
Sleeping With Sirens.
I joyfully sang along to their songs that I already heard last night, and had a smile on my face by then.
Bring Me The Horizon, Memphis May Fire, Motionless In White and a couple other bands played after that. Then I heard the same voice, once again, welcoming the next band.
"Everyone please welcome... PIERCE THE VEIL!" screams were coming from every single person in that venue, and I felt like my ears had popped. My stomach was doing flips in every direction and I felt like vomiting.
The lead singer came out onstage.
"Hello San Fransisco!" he yelled into the microphone
Once again, screams.
"We're gonna play you some songs tonight."
Screams.
They played a couple songs, Hold On Til May, Bulls In The Bronx, King For a Day with Kellin, Besitos, and Caraphernelia. I seen Tony glance at me a couple times. He knew I was there, but acted like I wasn't. I just wanted to punch him in his face.
They ended, but they didn't leave.
The lead singer went up to the microphone
"I've got a little surprise, for a little someone..."
SCREAMS.
"She's here today, and I can see her, right here, right now." I caught him glancing at me. Shit.
Tony took his guitar off his shoulder, and walked next to Vic.
"And my buddy Tony here, has something to say, to this someone." Vic walked back with Jaime and Mike and they all stood behind him. The crowd was finally quiet.
I tried getting away, but Nicole wouldn't let me leave.
Tony spoke into the microphone.
"I don't normally do this, cause as you all know, I'm pretty shy." the crowd laughed.
"But there's someone here today, that is very special to me. I know that she knows I'm talking about her." I looked up to see him staring and smiling at me.
"Yaressi, Ever since we met that day at the coffee shop, I knew there was something about you that I liked. I had to get to know you more, and I'm so happy that I did. You're an amazing, beautiful person. I'm sorry if you thought I was a creepy pedophile when you first met me. I know I may come off as different and crazy to most people because of my piercings and tattoos, but you accept me the way that I am. You're crazy gorgeous, and I know we just met, but Yaressi... I really like you. A lot. You're different from other girls. You're so amazing. I'm sorry for running off on you, and not answering your calls. But I didn't want you knowing about what I'm about to do right now." there were many 'aww's from the crowd.
I could feel the tears forming in my eyes.
Vic walked up to the microphone and said "Yaressi, this song is dedicated to you from Tony."
I heard "I breathe you in with smoke, in the backyard light..." and he trailed off when I noticed Tony with his hand out to grab mine, and take me to the stage. I took his hand and he pulled me up. I looked at him and he was smiling at me.
Vic sang "My love for you was bulletproof but you're the one who shot me."
And Tony was mouthing the words to me, I began to cry and he wiped away my tears. I was smiling from ear to ear. I never felt so happy in my life.
Vic had finished and tears were pouring down my face. Nobody has ever done anything like this for me. He kissed my lips and they walked off stage. I went with them and was still crying, when Tony wiped them with his thumb.
I don't regret coming after all.
