How Stubborn Are the Scars When They Won't Fade Away
Adaa is three months old.
Her hair is growing pretty fast.
Pierce The Veil is on tour and I didn't go with them this time.
They're going to be home tomorrow, thank God.
Tony would face time Adaa and I everyday for the last month, which is how long they've been gone.
Kellin has been helping me with her and taking us out places.
It's 6:30 p.m. and Kellin is rocking Adaa in his arms singing to her.
"Sometimes you gotta fall before you fly..."
"We're gonna work it out."
I blurted the lyric line out.
I couldn't help but sing along, I loved that song.
Kellin jumped and ran to me.
"You can sing?!" he exclaimed.
"Well, I guess yo-"
"You have to perform with us! Singing that song!" he was smiling from ear to ear.
"Kellin, I-"
"No no no. You have an amazing voice. Please! We're going on tour tomorrow with Bring Me The Horizon and All Time Low, and you have to come with. Pierce The Veil, Adaa and Nicole can come too!"
Kellin made a pouty face and was begging me.
I sighed.
"Fine."
"YAY!" Kellin shouted.
I laughed and shook my head.
We ate dinner and sat down to watch Star Wars.
I looked down at my stomach and legs.
I didn't gain any weight after my birth, which surprised me.
I weighed 130 pounds.
Kellin noticed I was staring at my body.
"You're so thin for a 23 year old."
"Yeah." I giggled.
Adaa finally fell asleep in my arms and I went to put her in her crib.
She just got used to it, which I'm happy about.
We were watching TV for hours until we finally decided to go to sleep.
I climbed into Tony's bunk, like always, and Kellin climbed into Vic's bunk.
"Goodnight, Yaressi."
I yawned.
"Goodnight, Kellin."
Someone scooped me out of my bed and spun me around, kissing me.
"BABY I'M HOME!"
Of course, it was Tony.
I didn't even care that he woke me up at 8:30 a.m.
I was just happy to see him.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him.
"Hey, what about me?" Jaime walked in smiling.
Tony let me go and I jumped on Jaime's back.
"Hime time!" I yelled.
Vic walked in.
"Wait, this is a good pose for a picture, stay in that position."
Jaime was laughing and I was too when Vic snapped a picture of us.
He showed us what it looked like, and it came out amazingly.
Vic sent it to me and Jaime.
I jumped off his back and grabbed my phone.
Jaime already tweeted the picture.
"Finally home, missed my best friend so much!"
I smiled.
I guess Vic had taken a picture of me in Tony's arm, because Tony had a picture of us like that on Instagram.
"Missed my baby so much, finally home with her and my other baby Adaa!"
I laughed and put my phone down.
I did my daily routine and got ready for the day, finally being able to fit into some of my old clothes.
White high wasted shorts and a blue tank top.
There was a knock on the door and I answered it.
It was everyone in Sleeping With Sirens.
"Hey Yaressi, we told the guys what's up and they said they're getting ready." Kellin smiled.
I looked behind me to see that everyone was gone and getting ready.
Nicole came out first, then Jaime, Mike, Vic, and Tony.
"So who's ready to go on tour?!" Justin exclaimed.
Everyone shouted different things as the Pierce The Veil bus trailed behind the Sleeping With Sirens bus.
It took us about 3 hours until we finally reached our destination.
Everyone hopped out and we all walked backstage, where everybody started getting ready.
Kellin handed me a water bottle.
"So, I kinda told Bring Me The Horizon you would feature in Deathbeds with them since you pretty much know that song by heart..." Kellin rubbed the back of his neck.
My jaw dropped.
"Kellin Quinn!" I shouted.
"I'm sorry, you just have an amazing voice and I think it should be shared with the world!" Kellin spread out his arms wide and smiled.
I looked down and sighed.
"Alright. I'll do it.."
"Thank you so much!" Kellin gave me a huge hug.
All Time Low had just finished their part of the show and Sleeping With Sirens was up next.
"Sirens, you're on in 5!" someone yelled.
"Alright, are you ready to do this?" Kellin steadied me and put his hands on my shoulders.
"I'm ready." I closed my eyes and took a breath.
Kellin smiled and they all walked out on stage.
Screams were louder than they were before.
They played If I'm James Dean, You're Audrey Hepburn, Roger Rabbit, and Sorry.
Then the intro for Who Are You Now started.
"Who's ready for some fun tonight?" Kellin asked into the microphone.
Screams came from every direction.
"I'd like to welcome our guest for tonight, who will be featuring in this special song, and in one for Bring Me The Horizon, Yaressi Colette!"
I walked out on stage with a microphone in my hand.
