Mike has been mopping around for the past few days. I know that he brought this on himself but I still hate seeing my brother like this. I just remember the last time he was like this. The last time he was the broken, he tried to do things to himself that i never hope he tries again.

I grab my cellphone and calls Sam

"Hello" she answers

I take a deep breath "Sam it's Vic.

"I know who this is." she chuckles

I laugh "I'm calling about Mike."

She sighs "Vic I just can't."

"Listen, I know you don't want to deal with this. But his life is on the line here."

"What's that suppose to mean." she aske

"Meet me at Starbucks in an hour......I'll explain everything."


x-------------one hour later-------x

I'm sitting at a table sipping on my carmel frappe. I'm really afraid to leave Mike alone now so I told Jaime and Tony to comeover until i get back.

"Uncle Vic" I heard Michelle yell

I picked her up and swung her around "Hey baby girl! I got you a cupcake."

I sit back down in the booth with Chelle in my lap. Sam slides in on the opposite side of me with a mocha latte in her hand.

"Spill Victor!" she said as she sipped her latte

I sighed " When you left two years ago Mike fell into a deep hole. Like he hit rock bottom......hard."

I looked up into Sams eyes "He was doing so bad Sam. He started cutting. He became aneorexic, he wouldn't eat because he said he didn't deserve food.

And one day i came home and I found him. He......he tried to kill himself. He had taken a whole bottle of his anti-depressants. He was that low Sam."

Tears fell from Sam eyes "He did that all because of me."

I shook my head. "Yeah, he thought he did something wrong to make you leave. But Sam, I'm scared. Mike came out his room for the first time in wtwo weeks. He's pratically skin and bones. I think he's sinking back into that hole again."

"Oh God No!" Sam put her head into her hands "Fuck! This all my fought."

"Hey, It's gonna be alright. I just thought you should know that....."

Sam interupted me "I think I know how I can help."

She looked down at Michelle who had icing all over her face from the cupcake I gave her.

"Michelle, are you ready to meet your daddy?"
